I picked up my Sat Nav from Argos today and then cancelled my DD.As you say, not bad for £6. Just one question for those who already have tbe device. It mentions in the user manual that you can charge the unit from the card charger or the usb lead. Ok, but they don't supply the USB lead!! I want to use this unit mainly for walking so don't really want to have to charge it from the car. I assume you can buy a USB lead to fit, but what do you do? Do you just connect it to a usb socket on your computer to charge it or what?0

hansi,
You can get a USB mains charger here
If you look at photo no 2 you'll see that it does come with a UK plug.
I've used Ledshoppe a few times with no problems - and it's on special offer for $3 post paid from HK! I don't know what the rate of exchange is now - probably changes by the minute - but it's peanuts for such a device. As for the cable, you'll have to shop around. I just happened to have one for an MP3 player which fitted mine.0 -
You can buy a normal mains charger for them off ebay for about £4

Can't vouch for any of the sellers - but think I might pick one up myself actually
EDIT: just bought one!0 -
The battery will not last long if not plugged into a charging source whilst in use, I don't know how long it will last, but when I got mine and fully charged it, there did not seem to be a lot of time whilst I was playing with it disconnected from power source until it started telling me the battery was getting low and needed to be connected to a charging source.
You could call the helpline an geo number, 01325 304473, ( don't use the 0845 number), Mon-Fri 9-5. and ask them how long it should last, but I think they might be a bit economical with the truth, best to fully charge it then try it and time the battery duration for yourself.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
