Your post is unnecessarily abusive - calling everyone taking out this insurance grubby, and accusing me of being a hypocrite and talking nonsense is bound to cause offence.
I have no "supportive role" in this matter.
The insurance company do have conditions attached to the free gift, which everyone here is adhering to in the true spirit of this Board.
There is no deception involved whatsoever in taking this offer out, and abiding with the ts + cs.
Whatever  . I was calling myself 'grubby' as well, you know. I don't have a problem with the word, albeit it was said in self-deprecating jest. You are no different to me or anyone on this thread in the sense that you are playing the system totally on this one. Legally I'm sure we are fine, we haven't committed an offence, but morally? What we are doing is morally pretty indefensible and no amount of 'we are moneysavers sticking to the T&C's' type excuses can distance any of us from this accusation.
Like I said, I don't have a problem taking that definition of me on the chin, I'm suspecting mainly because for all my character defects I've never really been a hypocrite (it's a pet hate of mine). If I hadn't witnessed your moral crusades in the numerous UW threads I don't suppose I would have picked up on your contribution here so belligerently but the good thing to come out of all this is the next time you crop up on one of those threads I will know more about the person 'crusading'.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

The spam has started. I got a pack from them yesterday asking if my partner would like an Over 50s plan as well, same terms as before with choice of satnav/tv/wine etc. Only problem is she isn't 50 yet (I'm SUCH a cradle snatcher, lol). Tempting all the same...Call me Carmine....

I cancelled the direct debits not too long ago and I got something similar in the post. Quite tempted to do it again if they send me another invitation.0 -
I got an "Acceptance Guranteed" letter from Axa yesterday. Is this Sat Nav any good, and has anyone received it and cancelled their policies, and have there been any problems regarding this?0

I received it, first time user of any sat nav, tried a few places locally that I know where they are, and however I set it, it always seems to want to send me the long way round, there is a helpline number in the booklet, but it is an 0845, the geo number for the same place is; - 01325 304473, opening hours Mon-Fri 9-5.
Have cancelled the policy after one £6. payment, (after receipt of voucher), and told them over the phone that I had cancelled as the policy did not fit my criteria, there was no problem and I even received a letter confirming cancellation of policy.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
