Still trying to get to grips with the MSE site, may take a while so bear with me.
I have a pot of loose change waiting to be counted, not technically from just past month or so, can i add it in to my total?
Absolutely yes you can:T...... but not all of us keep a running total so we have a lovely surprise when we empty the pot..... (and are not tempted to dip into it cos we dont know how much there is!:o)
From memory, I think November 29th is the day when the whole country will come to a stand still whilst we all count our sealed pots .... in fact I think it should be declared a national holiday.:rotfl:
Happy potting!DFWNerd 1417

Thanks Kylieminoag
i will take your advice and not count it!
Hopefully i will be one of those savers who will spend a long time counting up my pot.
Im lucky enough to have a well paid, full time job and no debt, but there seems to be nothing left "in the pot" when it comes to treats, holidays and xmas etc. So im trying to change my spending habits and am gonna see how i get on. Any tips from other members would be great to get me started please

Hi all
Little-sweetie that sounds like a really good day
Diddldonna you're doing really well
jillystew my tip would be to stick with us :rotfl: you could look at the debt-free wannabe threads - I know you said you're not in debt but there are some great money saving tips on there. Oh also do a budget using Martin's tool if you haven't already, look at all your utility bills, see if you can get them lower, I've saved loads by following his tips :money:
Potted £12.02 today - some change, some cos my lovely friend bought the coffees today (it'll be my turn next time) some cos I got some bargains in Sainsbugs and some as penance for buying 2 books and a blouse. I wouldn't have had to buy the last 2 if the buses were a bit more frequent on Sundays!
Anyway we had a lovely walk amongst the bluebells in the rain so I'll count the day as a success
Keep up the good work everyone

Off to work today, finishing a little earlier than usual then into the bathroom to clean the tiles hubby has just put up. and maybe some housework if time.
Have a good day all.
We did ETO, but I've been so tired today I've done very little elseIt's a shame you had to work on a Bank Holiday though. I know someone has to, but I hope you can take a rest day soon...

You've already made the best start by joining us all on here jillystewIt's so easy to get into the habit of spending up to the limit of earnings. I know 'cos we did it until redundancy made us see the light. Being a member of this thread has made me realise I can cut back a little even now and my first SPC is shaping up nicely :A Keep coming back to read the posts is the best advice I can give you. I have learned so much from the others on here. They are a lovely bunch
