    Ladies, Gents,
I need your help/advice/opinion. I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I'm sure you'll point me in the right direction if not ;)

I'm contemplating giving up my debit card and having a cash card only however I'm concerned about paying for things/bills on line.
Do any of you have cashcards only? I was thinking it might concentrate my mind when I don't have easy access to cash....

    Help please! :o

Good evening all you lovely people :)

    Well i have potted £4.72.

As you can see from my sig now i am trying to save for a new carpet for my stairs, and 2 bedrooms as we need it. Nice man came round and gave us a quote for £640.00 which is good as we live in a maisonette and have a huge landing. So the man has got it right down because we said we will take up the flooring thats already there, we are only having underlay up the stairs as the carpet we have chosen is quite thick and lovely lol. So I now have 2 pots one that will remain sealed and one that i can open for my carpet.

    Hope thats ok :)

Have a good Bank Holiday xx

Hi mrsljsouth, I must confess to not knowing a great deal about cash cards, but do know DH & I feel very safe having our debit cards at hand. Try asking the same question (C & P your post) on the DFW board or on Budgeting & Bank accounts

Must dash folks as our DS & hi DW have just arrived!!!!

    Hello Potters
Good luck with the job kylieminoag :D...
Already getting excited about how much heavier the pot is after one week

A word of warning tarantulalady...it gets quite addictive  :rotfl: ...as long as you don't take to hugging it to weigh it, whispering in it's ear :D...No it's not what I do at all before anyone asks :rotfl: ;) :rotfl:....***nervously coughs***...I really don't :p :rotfl: :p...

A stroke of bad luck and good today...came through the magical tyne tunnel, threw my cash in - but alas the barrier didn't raise, after much embaressment unbuckling of belt, opening of door, apologising to those behind and returning spat out coins back into the machine, a stroke of luck - behold a magical 20p piece :j...Am I the first to get toll booth kill? :D I've got to be, haven't I :rotfl: :D :rotfl:?

Hope you've all had a good weekend so far, happy potting

Hi all managed to save another £2.04p after my shopping the other day. 2p was roadkill my youngest found. He was very excited to find it as he knows mummy loves roadkill:o

(Just hope he doesn't say that to his teacher. She'll think "dead animals on the side of the road")

I counted out all my money Ive saved for "sealed pot challenge" and bagged it up for the Nationwide. It was very heavy to carry into town. Anyway when I got there the woman behind the counter said she could only except 5 bags at a time:mad: The reason given was they didn't have room to keep loads of change:rotfl:Why do I bother with them, it's only because there a building society and not a bank. Went down the road to my other building society and they quite happly took all the bags which had been sorted and counted perfectly. They couldn't understand the Nationwide's policy and niether can I??
:question:I feel like getting rid of Nationwide, anybody have any idea's whos good to bank with?? Banks I can't stand =
    1) Barclays at no1:(
2)Santander, (Ive had many a run in with)
    3)Tsb/lloyds:(
    4)Halifax:mad:
    5)CO-OP:mad:
    6)Natwest:mad:
    7)Royal bank of Scotland:(
Happy saving and big hugs to all that need it:grouphug:
