I counted out all my money Ive saved for "sealed pot challenge" and bagged it up for the Nationwide. It was very heavy to carry into town. Anyway when I got there the woman behind the counter said she could only except 5 bags at a time:mad: The reason given was they didn't have room to keep loads of change:rotfl:Why do I bother with them, it's only because there a building society and not a bank. Went down the road to my other building society and they quite happly took all the bags which had been sorted and counted perfectly. They couldn't understand the Nationwide's policy and niether can I??
:question:I feel like getting rid of Nationwide, anybody have any idea's whos good to bank with?? Banks I can't stand =

    Morning everyone
Bought a piece of furniture yesterday, the display model was reduced from £149.99 to £124.99 but I couldn't get that one (built up) into the car, so I asked the assistant if they had a flat pack one, when I got to the till I got it for the reduced price, so £25 better off in the sparky household Yay. Plus 5p car park change outside the shop.

Potted my usual £2 testerday. Have a great day averyone, stay safe & keep saving

Anyway due to not getting my dinner out :(:( ive popped a £5 into the pot :shhh: might get another £10 out and chuck that in too as we def would have spent at least £15 if we had gone out ;)

    Hi alliboy03,

After banking with most of those on your list, I eventually fetched up at First Direct and I've been with them since 1993. I've always found them very helpful and although it's only telephone or online you can use the HSBC branches if you need to. I think it's also the most recommended bank. Good luck, anyway.:)

Potted about £7 this week, which is about half of what I should be potting. Will have to do better. And where have all the £2 coins gone??? Sparky, are you buying them in bulk???:D

Afternoon all, just added another £1.10 today. I will be needing to buy a new pot soon (and stashing this one away somewhere safe 'til the end of the year).

A massive £10.37 today, 7p of which was roadkill :j
The rest is savings from taking a flask of tea and snacks on the train down to Mum's (a ridiculous 3hour journey because it's across London) instead of buying at the station. it all helps :)

Welcome to the friendliest and pottiest thread on MSE wiggles - our boss Sue will be along soon to give you a number, and her second in command sparky will need you to put the number in your siggy so he can keep track of you, and they'll ask you to read post 1 on page 1 so you know what's what - but so long as you keep saving, enjoy the banter and avoid the naughty step you'll be ok. Have fun :)
