thank you little_sweetie, at least the zits are on my head at the mo and not travelled down to my face, cos that would be a disaster as I dont think the boss would like me being on reception in my temporary job!

got 2 x £2 for the owls head and 87p in scrapnel for the VW campervan, still nuffink from 'im in doors.....

well the german student goes off to skool at 8.20 comes back at 3.30ish, gets changed goes off to soccer, then to the sports centre, gets home at 7.00-7.30pm eats his tea, does his homework and has a chat and goes to bed at 10! Is he normal for a 16yo???!!!

I'll swap you 1 German student, for the horror that's living next door to me :D, same age, doesn't go to school, gets a lift home from the police, quite often, likes swearing at people & makes a general nuisance of himself. Any takers? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi, the German kids are very disciplined and a delight to have in your home. Two of my DDs are married to Germans and I love going to visit them. Everything is so perfectly organised and spotlessly clean. Not sure what they think when they come to my chaotic home :o!

No potting today so I don't suppose I will be high on Sue's list for a star (:D:D:D), but I promise to pot some over the weekend when I do my shopping, possibly earlier if I can relieve DH of some cash :p. I need it more than he does.

  • Mishmogs - my DS has just turned 16 and is doing GCSEs this year and he basically goes to school, comes home has a chat and then studies for a lot of the evening so quite similar to your German student really. He wants to do really well in life (we've told him he's got to be responsible for himself in the future as we won't be able to afford to keep him as well!!) and so knows he has to do well at school to achieve this. I'm glad he's like this though as I know not all 16 year olds are .

Put 83p into my pot today left over from this week's money :).

mishmogs, as Susanne rightly points out, he's definitely normal for a German. I have to agree they are well disciplined indeed. I stayed out there for 3 weeks whilst our lass spent her 3rd year of Uni there teaching English to the students there and using German much more. She couldn't praise them highly enough, me either on seeing them round the town. If they caught sight of my DD they'd call out "Guten Tag" or "Hallo Miss UU!" I also have an e-friend out there and she's lovely, the family too.

Some beautiful places out there eh,Susanne, we were in the Westerwald area, glorious!

Hiya sparky! Good to see you. Sorry to hear you still have the problem neighbours next door. Hope your DW is fine, you too.

Great news about all you've now banked, Rosy! Thanks for sorting out your signature too.

Well done, Kerry, it'll be good to see just how much you've saved come the end of November. :)

A good idea, Mrs Addicted to Spending, it helps them know what they need to do, helps them through life too, I'm sure.

Have a really lovely weekend, everyone.
