Not managing much in the bottle or work tin lately but found myself some shiney silver road kill this afternoon so I swooped in an nabbed it, am hoping it'll kick start my spotting skills again! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hi rubytuesday! Lovely to see you. How good of you to help your DD, a shame the pot only had £19 in for her! Keep going with the pot, you never know when things might pick up.mishmogs wrote:What a fabo day, blue blue skies and sun on my bod pity about the shingles tho!!! Grrrr. Shingles, mishmogs??? You've got shingles (hope not) or shingle on a beach or.......? Why d'you feel as though you've been smacked by a football in the head???
Sorry to hear about the littlies, LC 2, at least you'll still get to see them each day.
Glad you're getting on well with the German lad, mishmogs, good that he's showing helpful signs too.
You keep schtum about your pots, Mrs Addicted to Spending, they're yours!
Thanks a lot for the heads up about the free listings, little_sweetie, is it fairly easy to do??
A good idea not to keep tabs of all your savings, themstarrynights, far better to have the excitement I think, and if you think some folk act crazily now then wait until November approaches. (Loonytunes!)Kylieminoag wrote:Sorry I've been MIA since May.I will read and try and catch up a bit with all your news - hope you are all well. Is Jakes mum still as much of a troublemaker as I remember?
And is Sue UU as fabulous as ever?
YES to both!! I still polish my prized star regularly.
Things have been a bit tough round here. Had surgery, been on crutches, lost job. But on the fab side BiL moved out into a flat of his own and DS passed his A levels and goes to uni in a couple of weeks (£120 a week for accommodation :eek::eek:) So by the middle of this month it will be just DH and I .... Bliss.
Oh, how right you are with your 1st paragraph, Kylieminoag if they weren't questions! Sorry to her about the op and especially the loss of your job. All the best in getting another! VERY well done on your DS's A-levels and Uni, well done him!!!:T
Well done on your news, ms_night_Ryder! Good to see you.
Well scooped up, scuba!
Another £10er in the pot after shopping.Keep safe, healthy and saving, folks.

Hello all, I'm hoping its not too late to join, I have been saving since January, in 2 separate tins (copper +£2) I've read all the rules and destruction's and I'm now hoping that you can all persuade me to keep it up, the fuller the tins get, the more I want to break in :0
I'm also after a bit of advice too, I have just started ebaying (selling that is) what do you all do with the money you make? I was planning on just leaving it in paypal so that I could spend on ebay or other shops that accept paypal around christmas time? So was just hoping others could tell me what they did with their profits?

It's never too late to join us, chelle1987 . A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving.
You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works.
* Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much.
I haven't yet sold anything on E-B!y, chelle1987, but many of those that do save their money in their pots. You please yourself entirely; you can always include it in you pot money then put it in the bank later. Though what you'd planned to do (keeping it Paypal til Christmas) sounds good to me.
Re the savings you have at home now, why not seal it so that there's not so much temptation to spnd?! That's what SPC (Sealed Pot Challenge) stands for....sealing the pots!
All the best with keeping hold of your money until the end of November! Meanwhile join in the chat with us, it's good to hear from folk.
I get what you mean, Mrs Addicted to Spending, all the ver best with getting as much as possible!
Hi there, Willow! So pleased to hear from you. I hope given that you earn so little that your Mum will be paying that £10er back to you. All the best in making it to £20!
Brilliant news, Susanne, obviously someone in real need of the parking space!!mishmogs wrote:Yes, Sue-UU I have shingles, my right hand side of my face and head are so painful when the painkillers wear off, yuk yuk.

Hi all
Welcome to the newbies, it's lovely to have you with us
I've started saving £2 coins in earnest now, and the lovely lady in the cafe at work is giving me as many as possible in my change so I potted 2 yesterday and she's just given me another 3! Hope I can afford this!
Also 6p roadkillwell it all helps!
Sorry I can't answer questions about ebay as I've never bought or sold on there, I don't even have a paypal account, I'm a bit technophobic sometimes! I expect jakes-mum will know all the ins and outs though as she seems to do very well
Cheers, hugs to all that need them, hope the shingles go away soon mishmogs
