I've edited my signature, but i've asked to join the virtual one too, so I presume thats different?
I'm very new (and very bad) at this whole saving thing, but i'm hoping to get better lol.
With the wedding and going back to proper college, I'm going to have to get good, and fast, so any tips are really appreciated :-)
Hi honey, good to see you back, Well done on popping you No on.
Yes, Virtual Sealed Pot is totally different to us, it's mostly for people who's money gets paid into the bank and they only use cheques, debit cards and so on. So, they don't get chance to save actual cash. Ours is best, much more fun!
Ways in which you can save are varied, always pot your change, you'll be surprised how much you save, and how it stops you spending needlessly. If you buy sandwiches, drinks etc from cafes then make your own to take with you, you'll save a fortune! Walking or cycling instead of taking buses etc also saves pounds! If you've bought things that you no longer use or don't want, sell them on E-bay. Take a look on the "Old style Moneysaving" boards to find ways to budget much better, eat more cheaply too. Also, every time you think of buying something, ask yourself "do I need it or just want it?" If the answer is the latter then leave it there! All the best with saving, honey.
Well done, LC 2, I couldn't agree more. If it's something big then by all means share, but tell him "it's my £10er I'm potting it, so there!"
A £5er on the pot for us.Have a lovely day, folk, and another tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone
Turned out to be a nice day. One of the lads in work appraoched me today and said "you collect change, don't you?" he then pulled out a carrier bag with £60 of change in it, I couldn't resist, so I took it off him, so I've got an lot of change going into the pot tonight when I get home.

Hi all, I managed to put £6.13 in the pot yesterday and, to my amazement, DH contributed a £1 coin that he'd found outside the gym.
Welcome to our new potters, saving is a lot easier when you've got friends to help and encourage you.
Hope everyone is well.
