    Hello everyone.

I forgot to tell you that I opened my pot on 23rd June to give my daughter some cash for travels to Asia.

It contained the grand sum of £19 so I have been helping her out each week.

Will get a new pot and start again I think.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

  • Hallo all,

Potted £9.60 this weekend. I am grinning like a Cheshire cat. My pot is verrrry 'eavy!

To the newbies, welcome. All of us here are defo a beer short of a six pack, but our resident counsellor, Sparky, keeps us in line. That being said, the weather is fantastic today. That sure helps to keep the blues at bay. Let's hope it stays like this for a while.

  • Another 2p into the pot - which my DH had left lying around - very careless ;). I've now got 2 pots as my old one is full :). Neither is actually sealed as they are old coffee jars but I've never used the money except to exchange notes for coins when I needed change for the bus. No-one else in my house knows about them otherwise I think they would be raided .

Your secret is safe with us Mrs A to S !:D I keep my tin in a cupboard too :rotfl::rotfl:

A princely 52p potted today left over from my weekly allowance.

Commiserations LC2 :( I haven't seen my GC this hols as often as I would have liked to. They have been far too busy in Legoland and other stuff but I'll 'ave 'em. I've already booked panto for next January :o 'Oh yes I have!'

A big WELCOME! to all the newbies. Have fun with us :T x

Surprise!!! :j:j Whats the fun in saving if you dont get the excitement on open day of 'how much have I got?!?!' :j:j

I've decided to scrap keeping count (just makes me more tempted to open it haha) I will remove my total from the sig.. (I know it's currently got £114 in it :j) - will see how much it gets by the end... i'm glad to be saving though.. it will defo come in handy!
  • Hello Everyone!:j

Sorry I've been MIA since May. :o I will read and try and catch up a bit with all your news - hope you are all well. Is Jakes mum still as much of a troublemaker as I remember? ;) And is Sue UU as fabulous as ever? :D I still polish my prized star regularly.

Things have been a bit tough round here. Had surgery, been on crutches, lost job. But on the fab side BiL moved out into a flat of his own and DS passed his A levels and goes to uni in a couple of weeks (£120 a week for accommodation :eek::eek:) So by the middle of this month it will be just DH and I .... bliss.

Still popping coins..... have had to start pot number 2 as number 1 got full of shrapnel. Am trying really hard not to open it though its a real temptation since I've no income any more. Have got a telephone directory delivery round later this week - am looking at it as my gym membership but they pay me instead of me paying them!

    Hugs all round
