Evening all,
I've been AWOL for a while 'cos DH had his second eye op last week and I've been playing nurse ever since  It went remarkably well this time, thank goodness. The bad news is that I have very little money to pot 'cos hospital parking cost £6 and I had to drive 45 miles on a round trip to a different hospital
I have scraped up my change & potted just 50p . Never mind...onward and upward!
A big WELCOME to all newbiesand what marvellous news about your win jakes-mum well done!
If I've missed any important posts please forgive meI'll try to catch up later.
Have a lovely week everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Hello all
welcome to all the newbies, hope you enjoy your visits on this friendly thread.
got £10 from neice who wanted to buy a wall unit off me, so that went into my cats head pot along with 6 x £2 and the usual £1 per day (8 in total cos I have been AWOL), and enough scrapnel to fill the cats head and I have now started on the UW camper van saving pot (CS find for £1). I think I have, or very near to, have enough money for the new fridge/freezer. Unfortunately, we defo need a new cooker now. Sighs..... its never ending.
BUT got a temporary job for 2 days a week which came out of the blue and I started last week (hence my absence from here). Must needed boost to the funds I can tell you. Its not great money but I have no travelling costs, so am very lucky.

Good morning,
Welcome to all newcomers. I never thought potting could be so rewarding, even though I only managed £1.70 over the weekend.
Reading everyone's posts - you guys are all so funny. My DH often asks me what I am giggling at, SPC entertainment.
I hope everyone enjoyed the closing ceremony. I watched the fireworks from across the river and it was awesome. I feel a little let down now, nothing decent to watch anymore. I really got into sport over the past 2 weeks which has inspired me to take a longer walk to the trainstation in the morning. I't worth a try even though I will never (sob) get legs like Kate Moss!

I emptied my pot after an unfortuate unexpected bill, so have had to restart it. Damn! Onwards and upwards though and the £114 that was in there really really helped.2014: My hardest financial times ever as I complete my degree, and begin a Masters in September. I can do this!

£3 in the pot today after selling a toddler slide on Ebay that was at my mothers and she informed me it was actually ours  I have no idea how these things end up at her house! Im sure she just picks random things up each time she pops over
Have currently got 32 items on ebay, 90% of which are mums after I insisted she start clearing out her garage, the woman had enough carp to fill 11 boxes, 9 of which have bids :eek:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Good news about Sid, mishmogs! [STRIKE]Sorryforgotten who he is, a pot maybe????[/STRIKE] Aha! Remembered to HUGE spider we had in our hall last night and Sid's name came to mind! Good to hear Sid's still well, mishmogs..though one wouldn't stay long in here, hubby caught it with a glass & paper and took it walkies over to the fields.
What a superb closing ceremony everyone! We thoroughly enjoyed it all. It's been a fantastic couple of weeks, best summed up in the words of Bill Oddie on Twitter

Thank you Sue. It was suggested that I buy a little nurse's uniform to help get into the part but, as I pointed out, the doctor said no strenuous activity for at least 2 to 3 weeks :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:He's feeling much better today and can actually see to watch TV and his 4 month old reading glasses are not too bad either. This time we are going to wait a while for his eyes to settle then get him onepair with varifocal lenses :T Hope you and DH are both well too.
I really just popped in to say 40p potted which was change from food shopping today.
