It's never too late to join us, CallieHolmes. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving.
You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works.
* Please pop your number on your sig, it really helps us.
A lovely welcome, leictina, very deserving of a gold star. :staradminAbout £4 in this week, but I'm not keeping count as I want a lovely surprise in November!
Some really really good news though this weekend, our flat should be ready tomorrow rather than later in the month as I thought - we nearly have all of the paperwork sorted and all the money is sorted, I'll just need to go to the office and collect the keys. I am so excited! It just doesn't seem real.
Splendid news, MrsNoonar!!!!! Thrilled to bits for you both!!Jakes-mum has given you some terrific advice, take note and you'll find life will be much easier and less stressful - allowing you to have time unhindered with each other.
How about paying a visit to the "Cooking Old Style" board (or whatever tis called) great 'cooking/living on a budget' tips there, entire delicious recipes too.
Brilliant advice you've given out, jakes-mum, very good indeed. That deserves one of these :staradmin
You also, Ruby, another helpful soul :staradmin
By the way jakes-mum, congratulations on the bingo win! :T A nice amount for you both.
Splendid news on the money banked, RedGoose, very good saving!
I'm in and out of doors all the time at the mo, part Olympics part helping DH with getting our garden revamped. Shifted 2 TONS of used concrete yesterday and walked the greenhouse 1/2 mile to a friend's house!!! Additional lawn is down and looking so much without the greenhouse which lately had been used as a shed! All so much better.
Never mind as we won £10 on the lottery on Saturday and didn't know til yesterday when I checked. It's in the pot now!!!
Keep right on saving, everyone, it's so worthwhile as many of you already know.

12 x £2 in the pot today plus a tiny but none the less very important 2p that was lurking in the bottom of my purse
More good news today, got a phone call and ive won a weekend break for 2 adults and 2 children to Scotland, which includes a sea view room, a guided tour of a castle I cant remember the name of, something else I cant remember and I think breakfast (she was very scottish sounding, my southern ears struggled to understand some of it) no travel included, but im hoping I can take it next year at a cheap time and book flights for the 4 of us
