Welcome to the thread spendaholic66!
I went to the shop earlier and the lady gave me two £2 coins change for the paper so they've gone in the pot and I've run out of money for the week. I hate/love it when that happens!"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Hi all. I absolutely love my sealed pot. If I hadn't been saving in it I wouldn't be online now. My laptop died on me last week but SP came to the rescue. I had more than enough banked to pay for this lovely new (refurbished) laptop.
Welcome to all our newbies, you'll be so glad you started this challenge.

Brilliant news, ladsmadd!!!!! It may have been slow this last year, but look how you'll be saving in the future once all your debts are cleared!!!!! :T What a loving and caring Sister to helpyou through it all, she's a gem!!!! :TSusanneCape wrote: »Went to the footie at Old Trafford yesterday. It was awesome. I love the Olympics, particularly the South African boy, Chad, beating Phelps in the swimming. That was magical. :T
I couldn't agree more with your feelings, Susanne, it's soooo good to see folk, who are normally living in bad conditions, win in these events; it gives others real hope for their futures and the others marvellous memories! :heartsmilHi all. Fantastic news, ModestyB!!!! It's so good to know that had you not been doing the SPC you'd possibly not have the cash put aside. Bad news about the old one, but GREAT news you could cover the cost of another! :T
Plenty of mixed emotions by the sound of it, Janey, though I know what you mean.
Hi there ETO, good to have you back and I really hope you had a wonderful time. Enjoy the rest of the Olympics now.
Enjoy your day, everyone, more Olympics for me, and how exiting was that in the Veladrome yesterday, though so sad for the girls, bless them.Sue xAnyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's never too late.There maybe a lot of us, but don't feel intimidated, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.:grinheartPlease read the 1st post on Page 1 first so you know what's what.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j0 -

Hallo Potters,
Had a manic trip to work today at the start of the Athletics . Unfortunately I am literally surrounded by Olympic venues. It would have been nice if we got some free tickets for all the hassle!!
Only potted £0.15 yesterday. However, I plan on winning the Euromillions tonight and promise to fill all our pots to the brim.

Hello all!
I have decided to follow sparky's example and call 'lost' coins road change. It sounds so much nicer than 'roadkill'so.....a whopping 6p potted from road change! plus about 10p in coppers from my purse (forgot to count it...oops
) There would have been more but my little GS was 5 last weekend and I was helping him to count his money from his money box & new wallet and ended up topping up his coin bags (and his sister's too) from my purse  His mum tried to persuade him to bank some but he refused to part with his £10 note saying " NOT that one.. that's my favourite pound" He's getting the right idea! :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you are all enjoying the Olympics. I can't see us getting higher than 3rd in the medal table but 3rd is definitely an option :T Have a lovely day all xSealed Pot Challenge #012
