It's never too late to join us, HOHOHOoffwegoKaren41. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving.
You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works.
* Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much.little_sweetie wrote: »Oh, Sue, wasn't the opening ceremony brilliant! It's the latest I've stayed up for ages. I just couldn't drag myself away
The special effects were fantastic. I loved the industrial revolution bit as my maternal Grandad was a chainmaker (helped to make the chain for Titanic) and paternal Great Grandfather & one of his sons in the glassblowing industry. How they made the forging of the rings look so real is amazing
It was utterly amazing, little_sweetie!! The only criticism (if it can be called that) I'd have was the speeded up part at the beginning, that was awful and made me feel really ill.
They talk about us not matching Beijing, personally I don't give a monkeys about that as we did ourselves PROUD on Friday and it's us, the nation, that counts!!!! Aside from that I didn't watch the OC in Beijing! :rotfl:I think we have also found a flat to rent, just waiting on confirmation from the letting agent that it is definitely ours. I'm so excited.
I think I'll use the money from the pot to buy something nice for our first Christmas together!(or to pay our bills if our budgeting doesn't go as well as planned...)
Ooooooh, MrsNoonar, I do so hope all is going well with your flat and that you'll soon have your own place and will be moving in!!! :j No wonder you're so excited! You take time to choose what YOU both want to do with the money you save...whatever it is it'll be a huge bonus! All the very best and please let us know.
Hi sparky, so sorry to hear about your Mum's friend, no doubt she'll be a huge comfort to her.cutestkids wrote: »I have not updated for ages between one thing and another but I have kept track of my PAds and the total since I last posted is £394.46

Not to worry about having been busy, cutestkids, and very well done on all your PADs!!! :T
Right, I'm off now as hockey's on and I love it, used to be goalie!Enjoy your day, folks, whatever you do and yes, Susanne, let's hope we can get lots of medals! :T

Hello & welcome! Yes, we are all potty but lovely with it!
You are right Sue about the OC. All of us in the UK loved it and I don't care whether the rest of the world 'got it' or not. It's OURS :j Ooooh, I can just imagine you as a goalie, Sue, I always ended up with bruised shins and hated it when I was forced to play hockey at school. Shame about the synchronised diving wasn't it....:( Never mind onward and upward......
No potting today, I'm afraid, as I forgot to draw cash so had to use my debit card when I popped into townI'll never make my target at this rate....

Welcome HOHOHOoffwegokaren41! What a great name!
I hadn't really planned to watch any of the Olympics but had the start of a migraine yesterday so while the migralieve got to work I got hooked on the eventing. Now I remember why I don't watch it normally! I end up forgetting to breathe and sort of tensing as if I'm jumping with them- its exhausting! Watched the showjumping today and the team got a very well deserved silver!
Back on topic a lovely 10p in the pot change from Mr T."It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

well cant stay away from the tv. The Olympics are simply brilliant. Well done to all the athletes. Feel so sorry for the ones who have missed out on the medals but to even make a final is amazing. Womens hockey was fab, used to play at school and college so love it too Sue, I was LW. The poor girl who did her ankle ouch and the captain I think it was who had her jaw dislocated, double ouch.
Back on topic another 40p for the shower fund and 10p sofa kill.
Need to declare £13.60 for the shower fund as we are off tomoz for 12 days. Will add to my signature. Hope the weather cheers up a bit.
