Afternoon Sue honestly though I never thought the overtime would last this long, normally it comes in fits and burst and then disappears, so more or less feast or famine, but luckily it's lasted for 15 months & J still can't believe it, so it's been more than worth it.

That's what I meant, sparky, you've been extraordinarily luckily, to say the least. Still, be happy with it while it lasts, cause as you say - feast or famine!

That hotpot sounds delicious, little_sweetie, no wonder your DH polished it all off!! :D

You're amazingly quiet, jakes-mum, most unlike you?!

Never mind, Modesty, it doesn't need to be specified as specific amounts. Good to see you're still potting.

Keep it going, Lynnsey, you're doing so well. :grinheart

£2.70 for 2 ice creams isn't too bad, mumof3plusoh, at least that's about the norm here if it's ice cream; make em have lollies next time! ;)

I had to use what had saved in my pot I now I have been very bad I will go and sit on the naughty step ;) I will add what i had saved which was £250 to my totel at the end if thats ok .i have no chance of getting the amount that is in my sig now so I am starting again if that's ok .

Hi skilly! Really bad luck about needing to use your savings, but needs must.... It's just such a blessing to have saved at such times. We won't worry about the naughty step, not all things considered. :)
Have youngest GS here he has breakfast before he comes cereal and toast as soon as he got in he has asked for porridge told him I'm having bacon so he says thats OK I'll have bacon and porridge . I said just let me do this OK he says can I have a bag of crisp while I'm waiting :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    He isn't even fat!!

Oh well better go and make porridge and bacon :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    XLC2

He's a right little gannet, LC 2! Let's hope he's one of these lucky ones that will just naturally be able to eat and not pay the price. Thoughts of having both together though!

Just a few pence for me, but it's a few pence more than yesterday. :D
Keep safe, healthy and potting, everyone.

We've been having some bad times in the Jakesmum household, DH has just had to give up his job as hes been suffering with excruciating pain in his ankles and after throwing up at work from the pain on tuesday finally had to admit defeat.
Im currently trying to figure out where we stand benefits wise, waiting for his hospital appointment tomorrow to get an (hopefully) official diagnosis and some painkillers that actually work.
Just very worried about how we are going to pay for things over the next couple of months while I get his money sorted, how being stuck at home is going to affect him as hes already depressed and stupid things like how we will fit 2 mobility scooters in the back of our car, how the kids are going to be with both their parents unable to walk any distance etc.

Im sure ill be back to my usual talkative self soon just a bit lost in the 'real' world at the minute so to speak :o

£2.04 in the pot aswell today

    Evening all!

BTW poor you, susanne, what a horrible experience you have had. I'm so glad things seem to have worked out well (although expensive) in the end.

Have a lovely evening everyone x

Thank you very much, but I am now as right as rain again. My teeth look better than they have ever looked, so not all bad. Good thing is that they cannot discolour. I drink pots of tea!! :D

Oh, and I'll be popping over for some cheese scones. I LOVE THEM. My mum used to add chopped spinach as well. Scrumptious!!

Oh, jakes-mum, so sorry that DH had to leave his job. Try not to worry too much, I am sure it will all work out in the end. Hopefully it is just a bad inflammation. Stay positive. The kids will be just fine. Beeeg hugs to all of you.

Oh, I managed to pot £2.30 last evening. First time in ages ......

Oh dear, jakes-mum, I'm so sorry to hear that, it must have been agony for him!! I do hope you get a proper diagnosis asap so you're able to plan ahead with treatment and finances meanwhile. I know these things take a while to sort out, but don't forget your savings if you need it. My prayers and thoughts for you all, but especially your DH.

Take care both of you and do try not to worry.

    Love and hugs, Sue xx

I'm so sorry to hear this. I do hope your DH will be out of pain soon. As for being stuck at home, is he any good with his hands? Can he do woodwork or something that he can do sitting down? My DH was going mental after his HA until he taught himself to play the guitar. Now he keeps building new ones all the time. Hugs to you both.

Potted 3p roadkill yesterday, 1p found for each dog I walked. Found 10p today in Ald! that's going in the pot.

    Be Well one and all.

Ahh ty everyone, hopefully we will find something out tomorrow (and get it in writing grr)

Modesty - hes actually very good with his hands, ive still got a half finished dolls house in the shed from the last time he was unemployed :rotfl: he has an uncanny knack of being able to visualise things and just make them  ive never seen anything like it! The raised platform he built for my mums company once after her business partner said in passing 'it would be so much easier to push the stuff in the granulator if we were level with the opening' was a work of art complete with safety rail that slid open to allow for loading with the forklift  If you asked him though he would say hes 'ok at that sort of thing' :o
