Sealed Pot Challenge 5 ~ Part 2

Afternoon SueI suppose if you put it like that, LC 2, then maybe a clone mighn't be a bad idea - just watch out that sparky doesn't have one done of himself too!!! Good news about saving the £5er too!
No matter how you dress it up, or down, sparky, you're doing so well in getting all that extra OT. Budapest in November, NY & Chicago next year and mortgage destruction in process - how good does it get!!!
Just think if I did clone myself, I could work 24 hours a day and be mortgage free in half the time, honestly though I never thought the overtime would last this long, normally it comes in fits and burst and then disappears, so more or less feast or famine, but luckily it's lasted for 15 months & J still can't believe it, so it's been more than worth it.Sparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. I don't really have anything interesting to post, I'm afraidIt's been a really lean month (still is in fact) with loads of birthdays and anniversaries including my little GS's 5th birthday at the end of the month so I have been struggling to buy gifts and not much left over. However....:) today I found a lovely shiny 5p in town, then when I came home it was pouring with rain, such a novelty
, and I decided to be good and give the bedroom a thorough clean to warm myself up. In amongst the dust under the bed were two dusty 20p pieces  so that's a grand total of 45p potted :T I am sure that I will be nowhere near my SPC target by November but it will be better than not having made the effort, that's for sure.
I have been trying to eke out the food budget too by cooking cheaper meals from scratch. Tonight I cooked a cider veggie hotpot which is my DH's favourite. I buy odd dented cans of cider when I see them and use them for cooking. A large hotpot is usually enough for 4 portions (or so I thought ...) so one each tonight and some left for tomorrow. I have just gone to do the washing up and  the dish is empty! The rascal has finished it off. I have warned him it's just a cheese butty tomorrow night nowI do, however, have enough ingredients to make cheese scones so if it's another wet day tomorrow I'll be baking.......;)
BTW poor you, susanne, what a horrible experience you have had. I'm so glad things seem to have worked out well (although expensive) in the end.
Have a lovely evening everyone x
The hotpot sounds yummy! In the paper at the weekend they mentioned the Skint Foodie blog, which looks like it could be useful for economical dinners. Thought I'd share in case others find it useful...Sealed pot challenger#1677

Try not to worry skilly. At least you had the money in your sealed pot when you needed it. Thanks little_sweetie, I'm pretty well. Have been a bit busy though which is why I haven't been on the forum as much, but I've been trying to pot (although my change keeps trying to go for walkies of late:mad:). Hope all is well with you and yours.Sealed pot challenger#1677
