    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone
Hope everyone's OK, looks like we're going to finally get some sunshine. Potted my daily £2 plus some extra change. Working yet another weekend of 12 hour shifts, I've had to leave a picture of myself, so my DW can remember what I look like.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe and keep saving

he has an uncanny knack of being able to visualise things and just make them  ive never seen anything like it!

Your DH has to be exactly the same as mine, jakes-mum. On starting a new venture, I've said "why don't you do a plan" of whatever he's about to undertake. "I can't do that, I've got it all completely in my head and know exactly what I'm doing" ...and it really is that simple; they can visualise it and build from it - brilliant! :T

I really do hope the medics won't be long in sorting out what's wrong with jakes-dad, but no doubt when all the results come back it will enable them to come up with the correct diagnosis rather than a guess.

There's some good saving going on everyone, keep it up!

My DH came in just now and offered me a £1 that was in his pocket, so added together with the £2 makes a nice £3 to be added and I'm quite happy with that.

I hope you all enjoy the weekend, and don't forget.....
Keep safe, healthy and potting, everyone.

    Sue x

Its brilliant to watch them :) I love the fact I can just go 'DH, I want a box for the loft to hide stuff in' and he went up the loft this morning, measured the gap and will be getting the stuff to build it tomorrow :D and I know it wont be just any old box, oh no it will be an all singing all dancing box with hinged lid, lock and maybe even a paint job :rotfl:. Hes had many vague requests from me over the years of things to build and always comes back with exactly what I wanted but with a bit extra . . . like the display shelf I asked for that when built had its own lighting system

He would have started the box today but decided to cut down the huge bush growing outside our front door instead and is now telling me about how hes going to change the incline of the path to run away from the front door and block pave the entire front in such a way it will raise it all to combat our huge step up to get into the house (which is so big, miss lily has to hold the door frame to get in the house )

Wow jakes-mum your DH doesn't need to look for a job just rent him out as a handyman/designer ! My DH is the exact opposite, he'll say 'don't worry, I'll sort it out' then 12 months later I'm either still waiting or he's had a go and failed (hence my glue job on the fridge/freezer door knob which is, incidentally, still in place :D) jakes-dad would get on very well with nu1isit and Sue-uu's DH too :)

Nothing to pot at the moment as I have had to do a food shop today instead of Monday and so I daren't pot any change yet as it will be tight week. Night night all x

    Hello,

    May I join?

I already collect my coins in a money pot that I got for my Christening. It's not sealed but I would like to continue using it anyway if that is okay? It has a lot of sentimental value.

I've already got quite a bit of money in the pot, and some in envelopes counted out ready to bank.

I found 1p outside a shop yesterday (also found a ten pound note earlier in the day, which I didn't keep, but that's another story!) so that has gone into the jar.

This is such a great thread and I can't wait to start saving properly for next year! :)
