ETO thanks, and what's the new tactic? Is it something we can copy?
It's nothing fantastical, but find it is working for me at the mo. I was giving myself £20 or so a week as spending money, but found i used this as target to achieve and was spending it all on odds and sods.
Now i set myself £5 per day, i take that out of the bank each week in £5 notes, and am not spending anywhere near what i was. it somehow seems harder to break into a £5 note, and with the thought of potting a crisp fiver at the end of the day is quite appealing. Although if i have any plans for the week then i will combine my £5's rather than take out any more money.
Have you all lost the will to live yet, honestly it works much better in my head than in black and white.
Take care all.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

Morning all, hope everyones ok?
so, many potters from the NW eh? well I can join that band of happy potters cos I'm from Altrincham originally, moved to Warrington and worked at the old tetley walker brewery (happy days I can tell you) and also at tetleys in the pool, which has long gone. Had a boyfriend from liverpool and had great times there, happy memories!
anyway, enough ramblings, am now in suffolk which is a laid back kinda life. for my pottings recently, I raided DHs pockets had got £8.70, my usual £1 per day, 3 x £2 coins and some scrapnel but no roadkill - its like gold dust round here I can tell you.
BUT also got a tax refund of £34.45 yippee, am putting that straight into the fridge/freeze fund in the bank.
time to go and get on sorting out DH car which I think needs the power steering looking at as its making an odd noise.
have a great day all, ttfn
