Rosemary: hear you on the nieces thing. After a decade, I just stopped sending to my husband's. Then we got an invite to one's wedding addressed to her "favourite uncle and family". Nobody went. We'd explained earlier in the year that we probably wouldn't go because hubbie was overseas and not back until the end of July. Well she booked the wedding for July 30! Got the invite the day he left (so he couldn't rework his flights to arrive in their area) and I wasn't going to drive 1500 km to go to a wedding by myself. Marriage lasted less than two years.

OK. Vegas was good, I was good, sort of.

    Ins:

Wet & Wild Shine 464 Rain Check
Wet & Wils Shine 465 Wild Card Invitation. 99cents and fairly good coverage with a third coat.

CVS nail polish remover pads. ten for $4.29 better priced than up here even for generics.

Wet & Wild Defining Marker (under $6) in a brown colour. I'm rubbish with liquid eyeliner and thought go cheap and try it. Even though it's in felt pen format, I still suck at application.

Wet and Wild is double the price up here in Canada.

In honour of some of you, I went to the L'Occtaine. Found Fleur Cherie hand cream and the spray cologne. Was told up here it was no longer made and I'm a sucker for orange blossom scents.

    Outs: (all sample sized)
Pantene Highlighting Expressions shampoo and conditioner sachets. Got two uses out of each. I'd buy it again but I think they changed the name since I got the samples.

Yves Rocher day cream in a green foil. Nothing special

Strivectin Instant Moisture Repair. Too small a sample to know if it was worth the hype and too expensive in a larger size to figure it out.

Olay Total Effects Body Treatment (15ml) good and affordable

L'Oreal day night combo sachet. Not enough to use for two applications, so I don't know.

I've got enough full sized to get through without adding to my stash by rebuying those.

Tossed: Cliniques Lash Doubling Mascara (light grey green tube). Hate Clinique mascaras. They all seem too wet and leave smudges and clumps. Why I keep trying them is beyond me. I try to gift them on to people but I can't give them away. So, I may hold on to them and put them up for grabs later.

Oh, and got two samples from L'Occtane for mature skin.

Now, I should think about doing my laundry.

Sexylook Facemask - Not going to lie......im not such a fan of these full face masks. I just don't feel they do anything, whereas ones which harden and you actually feel working on your face i find much more effective. WNBA
Loccitane Beauty Body Oil, 15ml - First time i have used oil on my body and i have been using it at night and boy does it make a difference. My skin feels tighter and softer and it smells fantastic :D

its going to take all my willpower to resist this one. I'm genuinely skint though :(

did get an email yesterday saying i'd won a 100ml Liz Earle C&P starter kit from the Sunday Times for voting in their beauty awards :j:beer: face cleanser was one of the things that i was running low on. I've had to put the bobbi brown oil one into my travel kit, its given me spots on my chin, think its the ingredient in it that does the oil to milk reaction because the elemis one did this too. ah well!

i think its because avon are going mad pushing it, i remember when to get the "free" ones with magazines you had to go to john lewis and even then they only had a few available.

Noticed Boots are no longer giving the ACM over 60s health club members their 10% discount at the end of the month, they are changing it to 10 points per £ instead of 4pts when buying Boots products. Not that great value as how often do you buy a whole pound of Boots items? 10% was much better. I tend to buy their paracetamol as its 16p but 14p with the discount.

Has anyone used the Perfume Parlour, I saw it on another thread but thought I would try it before the postage price goes up. There is a discount for liking it on facebook but can't seem to find it, can anyone help? :)

Off topic I know but we are in a recession and the postage prices goes up, which will be a huge reason for everything to up apart from our wages. :(

2 INs today: Dr Organics Royal Jelly shampoo & Dr Organics Manuka Honey shampoo.

The royal jelly one is replacing the one that is at the end, and the manuka one is to see if it is any better for my hair than the royal jelly one, which is pretty good, but not perfect.

I'm only counting one IN as I really need a new bottle of shampoo, but the other one is to see if it's better for me or not.

Best of luck at using up the toiletries, ladies!

After a naughty nail varnish IN, it's PAY DAY tomorrow...and I want to treat myself (oooops disgraceful!!!) to a nice face mask. My skin is normal, but I get dry patched where I've had spots. And I seem to be getting more of them recently  - it's more that there are black heads and blocked pores which are bumpy on my skin. They don't turn into gooey spots unless I squeeze. Which I can't help but do...

So - any recommendations for face a mask under £10? (sorry if this leads you to purchase!!)

Simple cleanse face mask for 89p (sachet) in Body Care. My boyf has trouble with his skin and finds it really good

I forgot to mention a UU!

Sanctuary Body scrub 50ml - lasted for ages. WNB it was more soapy than scrubby and left some sort of residue on my skin.
