I finished my job last week and what happens this week? CEW lunch and the freebiesss absolutely gutted! At least I got to try loads of products and vote before I left
I don;t think I will miss the free stuff and samples from work that much, at least not enough to go out of my way to buy stuff more. The main thing I took away from working in that industry, is that most products are just pure hype!
Oh yeah. Some INs from a package sent to my parents:
2x50ml missha signature bb no.13 perfectly pale yay
innisfree jeju volcanic cleansing foam- lovely for mornings
innifree jeju volanic clay pore mask- reminds me of the glawglow mud mask but less tingy, might be with some tea tree though ha
gatsby plotting sheets
4935398 samples and er... a free pair of socks!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
I just stumbled across this on the site and I know someone (sorry can't remember who) asked what some of us do to stay motivated.

This really is quite scary and hopefully effective. :eek:I think my S&G Hand Food is starting to splutter.:D
Mine too (still another 2 to use).

DS sagely said to me, "we might have to have some meals we don't really like mum, but it's only for 5 days. Some people have to eat like it all the time".
That's adorable! You are lucky to have such a thoughtful DS. I won't be doing the challenge as OH does all the cooking & I'll never get him on board!
Sorry - I don't know how to quote more than one post. But Thank You HappyTorty for the Simple face mask recommendation. I wouldn't normally buy a sachet as it works out cheaper per use to buy a bottle - but well worth it to try & see if I like it! Although I don't have a Bodycare - will check out other shops.
Rosemary - it annoys me when people don't say thank you. Do you give them the gifts in person? I even call people to say thanks for the birthday card - never mind presents! I must say, I'm sure they'd love to receive some of your stash - sounds like a super present and cheap for you = bonus! :TVirtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

I have another UU :T Boots Men's Expert eye cream, WBA as it was cheap, under £1 bought through an offer. It was labelled Men's but I couldn't see any difference to the ladies version, except the Mens version seems cheaper :think:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -

I've noticed that mens products do tend to be cheaper than the womens version for most things (not just skin care), its very annoying0 -

I stop doing childrens pressies at 21 but send a really nice one then, tow other nieces got gold earings but again no thanks:(:(:(:(even an eamil would have done!0 -
Noticed Boots are no longer giving the ACM over 60s health club members their 10% discount at the end of the month, they are changing it to 10 points per £ instead of 4pts when buying Boots products. Not that great value as how often do you buy a whole pound of Boots items? 10% was much better. I tend to buy their paracetamol as its 16p but 14p with the discount.
Has anyone used the Perfume Parlour, I saw it on another thread but thought I would try it before the postage price goes up. There is a discount for liking it on facebook but can't seem to find it, can anyone help?
Off topic I know but we are in a recession and the postage prices goes up, which will be a huge reason for everything to up apart from our wages.
i have used perfume parlour thay are really good and the oils are really nice and postage is free if you spend £10, i couldn't find the discount on facebook either.0 -

I'm trying to be good and not buy loads of stuff, but keep getting emailed loads of offers from various companies, I am trying hard to ignore them all.
Rosemary sorry about them present situation with your neices. Luckily I don't have that problem with mine re presents, what I tend to do is get a list from them and buy a main present from the list and getting them a few stocking fillers, but my nieces are older 18 & 24 (and we are quite close). We tend to make a big thing of christmas and the 3 of us go for a meal and swop presents.
The people who I tend to have problems with are both my sister and my best friend, spend ages trying to find something they would approciate and never get a thank you. Didn't really get a thank you for the beauty box subscription I got my sister for her birthday this year, thinking of suggesting we don't do presents anymore.0
