UU Olay Anti Wrinkle Cream with SPF 15. This had been waiting since Christmas 2010! Thanks to freebies, stuff sent to trial, etc it's taken over a year to get it into use.
WIBA? Yes, the Olay lotions and then creams have been beauty staples of mine for a very long time. There's nothing better for the price. My son bought me the cream as a present along with the matching lotion.
The yellow lotion is next in line, it also has SPF15 and will be suitable for summer, if we get one. I've still got some of the Clinique moisture boost that was a magazine freebie over a year ago (Marie Claire I think) so will use that to give the lotion a bit of a helping hand.

Hi all. Am pleased to see that some of you are considering doing the £1 challenge :). As I said, DH was totally uninterested in doing this but I spoke to the kids about it on Monday afternoon and they were quite keen. As soon as DD realised there would be no money for squash, she changed her mind. DS sagely said to me, "we might have to have some meals we don't really like mum, but it's only for 5 days. Some people have to eat like it all the time". I have gone to weezl's website cheap family recipes .org to get inspiration for my menu as I was unimpressed with the menus available on the charities web page. I also realised that their costings are out, their menus are more expensive than they think.
I'm glad DS is on board as it will make us be able to have more variety in our diet. Economies of scale etc. that really makes me realise how much more expensive life is for single people, not so much multi buying opportunity.
My BB cream arrived today. Am trialling it now. Not sure yet but prepared to wait it out and see how it goes :)

I really want to try that pomegranate oil Tokkiandoliver, you have just made it more difficult to resist!

Did some good resisting today. Had to walk across Leeds for an all-day meeting so understandably did so via shops for shelter from the relentless rain. Managed to stand back from Dove shower cream offer in Superdrug and cheap Palmolive thermal spa (£1.07) in Boots.

Looked for Badedas shower gel (my HG, not sure why I keep buying other stuff, I can only blame the red mist when I see a bargain) but Boots didn't have it. Boo.

Had an IN last week of three Aussie things for £10. On last shampoo and conditioner - who would have thought that six months ago! - and I like Aussie stuff so I caved in.

Also a UU - small tube of Cath Kidston hand cream in bluebell scent. Last of a set of three from Christmas 2010. WNBA. It smelled nice but the effect doesn't last long.

Think I will be building an ark if this rain doesn't stop........

seeing all the talk of birthday boxes has made me rethink what I give to my nieces,I always buy them nice jewelry from Pia(nothing outlandish just classic silver things)BUT never ever get a thank you:mad::mad::mad::mad:so if I make up birthday boxes of stuff that I don't use (nice things) i will save money and reduce the stash and as they never thank me anyway.....

DS2s girl(sorry to remind you he is taken ladies:rotfl:) is so sweet and always says thank you for pressies, last time I sent her a big box of Occitanne minis which she says she loves:)

She's a lucky girl Rosemary in more ways than one! :rotfl: How ungrateful of your nieces, we always get lovely presents off one auntie in particular but always be sure to thank her! Maybe just send them cards next time!

A couple of UU from last night and this morning to declare:

No. 7 Essential Moisture Night Cream - WNBA - Glad to see this go, too heavy for my skin I think, doesn't seem to sink in but sits on the surface and my face seems really greasy in the morning - ok for the depths of winter (although today is looking very wintery here in Wales as I'm sure it is elsewhere) when my skin is a bit more dried out but there's other products around the same price I prefer better.

Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey D'ete Summer frangranced soap - WBA - Smelt gorgeous, didn't dry my skin out, although the delicate skin at the top of my chest became slightly irritated by it so just stopped using it there and it also lasted really, really well - could definitely show Lush soaps a thing or two about staying power!! Not sure where this came from so can't comment on price, was most likely a GWP with some perfume at some point. I was keeping it in its tissue paper inside its nice little box looking pretty indefinitely unless I read the PRCP and decided just to use it and I'm glad I did. :T

My S&G Clean on Me is almost spluttering, its been a massively LHJ, made longer by the fact that I've had to intersperse its use with others things just to stave off the boredom! I do actually still like it, its just the massive bottle and probably the pump dispenser, mean its around for absolutely ages - very MSE though! OH prefers soap to shower gel so have popped a waterlily soap in the shower for him to make a start on, smells a bit too strong for me though.
