morning all, hope everyone survived Easter!!!!why is it DH and I always manage a row on a long weekend?always the same subject and never gets resolved and the miserable weather did not help one bit.Went to the garden centre to get wood bark/compost and a rose to replace the one he killed a couple of years ago(sorry this has nothing whatsoever to do with toiletries!!!)I was going to buy lunch but he went all "good" and said nothing for him so "lunch" for me was a biscuit and cuppa!!!!(no wonder I am losing weight....8lbs now:j:j:j:j:j)the wood bark came in100litre bags so I said I would help carry them from the car into the garden,"HEman" said no he could manage........1 bad back later(there were only 2 bags luckily)when I repeated I had offered to help he said ity had been hurting before we went!!!!(he is supposed to be an intellegent man having been to Oxford:eek:)
hoping the weather stays good this week as having all back windows and back door replaced (due to them practically falling out)door is a double french one so that could be very chilly:(.
started to use the serum from my LIB box,not sure it matters which serum you use:rotfl:I am putting so many layers on my face these days but do think it is looking good tho not sure which of the layers is doing it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:hope Shesaidbeauty box will arrive today with my easter egg as so far not had any:A....not even the cream egg DH got as a freebie and gave me(actually find them rather sickly so don't really want it!

After last night's shift, I'm buying myself something when I finish up this lot of nights. I deserve a reward for not jumping into the ruckus with the patient and the hospital police
Wondercollie - I really shouldn't laugh, but I just had too!

I was also working nights this weekend. A pt got a little upset about having to wait to be seen -I'm not entirly sure how the blister on his finger, that had been there three weeks, constituted and emergency at 5am on Sunday morning - but there you go!

So, just to make a point that he was not pleased, he decided to throw a chair at me. Just picked it up and hurled it across the room he did. Now that I could almost handle (after all we deal with all kinds of crazy, don't we!) but in my rush to move out of the way of said chair, I slipped and broke a nail. I BROKE A BLOOMING NAIL. That I cannot cope with - who do these people think we are?? Rant over. Sorry for laughing at your post, but it did make me feel a little better.

Rosemary - sending huggs. Men.... what can I say - doesn't matter where they were educated! Hope that your windows get sorted this week. If the weather holds out I expect your garden will be looking all lovely with the new bark. Well done on the weight loss:D

I have to say, I'm really, really glad that I have never been drawn into the body shop and their BB's. It seems like they are tough to get through. I'm usless at body lotion - I made a proper effort when I first joined her last year. Think that same bottle that I opened then is still sat upstairs, half used. I really need to 'get a grip'.

Forgot to add - who mentioned the 'Boat Race'??? I got up on Sat afternoon to watch that - what a disaster! Cannot believe that idiot in the water. Totally ruined all of the work those guys and girls had worked so hard for all year.

i remember getting a few of those BBs with magazines years ago, they went through a spate of just giving them out loads. took me yonks to use them up and i never went back because i was so fed up of the things AND they were only the smaller sizes that i seemed to get!

think it was me with the boat race, hopefully the Oxford rower is now recovered,I am reading Stephen Fry's autobiography at the mo and he mentiuons Hugh Laurie having been a rower in the cambridge team years ago and how hard the training was and the unbelievable amount of food he had to eat to make up the calories:rotfl:re body butters, think I now have enough to last for about 20 years:(but think it has cured me of Body shop as not bought anything this year:)
have emailed shesaidbeauty as box still not here:(and unwittingly saw the contents online so no surprise when it does come:(:(am hoping they will send a replacement if it has "got lost?" in the post as it looks good

I am so pleased with this UU. Boots Royal Jelly body lotion part of a gift set from 2010. I WNBA I just don't like the smell, too sickly sweet for me.

However the best news is that I can now start the last body lotion/butter (S&G body butter) in my stash! I'm still drowning in hand and foot lotions though.

My pal is a nurse and some of her tales are just .

In my continuing quest to find a suitable foundation, I have opened up my Clinique Almost Make Up Parfait. I am loving this, it goes on so smoothly and is a perfect match for my skin tone. I have looked it up and seen that it is discontinued!! This is just typical! Not sure if the BB cream is the replacement type product.

Anyway, I have also decided not to count my dental products in my stash list as that is now under control. :D

So I have had another UU of shampoo - those damn dreggs!

think at the weekend , (because its the weekend before payday i have no money! So have very little social life:o), I will make a list of everything I have to UU. I orginally thought I didn't have much, but since being on here I've realised otherwise! Those of you that do have a list seem to have the motivation!

Boots No 7 anti-aging range is really good. The face cream/sorbet does all over and lasts about three or four months! :)

Hi Happy Torty! I just wanted to say thank you for your recommendation :) I managed to resist the Elemis offer which is just as well as I have sooooo many things to use already!

Well done for finishing up some more shampoo :T I find it really satisfying every time that I finish something and it spurs me on to use up more :) Having a list definitely helps me avoid spending (most of the time :rotfl:)

i have been ill for over 10 years and i dont drink or smoke and i hardly go out so my guilty pleasure is nail polish so i am not adding them into my ins but thought i would let you know what i have got this week.

Hi Lily! I just wanted to say that I've been ill and stuck at home for a similar amount of time. It can be very difficult :o I know that it's important to have little things to cheer you up so I'm pleased that you are into your nail polish :) I made a list of things that 'make me feel better' and one of my things was wearing nail polish - the pop of colour is so cheering :) There were some random things on my list - wearing scarves was another one! Because I rarely get out to the shops I rely on eBay for most of my clothes and have built up a beautiful collection of silk dresses. Not the most practical thing but so lovely to wear and I only ever spend a few pounds on them (I aim for £5 max, including p&p!) Sadly I've run out of room so I ought to stop...You can't 'use up' dresses but I'm hoping that the good practice of not buying toiletries will spill over into other areas of my life :rotfl:

Has anyone else found that this challenge has meant that their general 'collecting' and spending habits have improved? Or has stopping buying toiletries meant that you've moved onto storing up something else?? I remember someone talking about their tea collection. I have lots of herbal tea to use up as well! :rotfl:

oh god, i think i have enough herbal tea, posh coffee and hot choccy to last a lifetime :o:rotfl: I've had to take to doing the same as with toiletries and tell myself i have enough at home and i absolutely do not need any more tea!
