A couple of UUs Lush ginerbread house mmmm love this only one more in the stash:( and Elemis time for two bath milk, WNBA.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
ZoeL and Fiasco I do find the nose pore strips work on blackheads as And said. I've not tried the Aldi ones, but the SD didn't do much for me. The MrBs Tea Tree and Witchazel are pretty good. The Biore are the most effective, but not paying £8 per pack, or whatever it is that they cost nowadays!
I noticed that Biore products are 1/3 off in Sainbo's at the minute (not sure when it ends though) I had a look and the nose strips are around about a fiver a pack. Just if anyone is interested
I might have to get some, if I can't get some Aldi ones, really in need of some. The ones I bought in B&Ms the other week are rubbish- don't waste your 99p! :rotfl: (what was I expecting, really?)
One OUT: Arran aromatics for men body moisturiser 50ml.0 -
Yay, I have used up a body butter! 200ml BS Pomegranate BB - WNBA (for at least the next decade) I looked on my UU word document for last year and I UU the last body butter in October so this has taken me 6 months to get through. This is much better than the 2 years it took me to finish that one up however
It must be the good influence of this challenge that I am actually using BB most nights now instead of once in a blue moon. I moved the body butter I was using into the bathroom so that it was right there when I came out of the shower of an evening. I worked out that there was no chance of me using it regularly right before I went to bed, I'm just too tired by then!
I am a bit concerned that I don't actually like body butters any more since I have another 10 to get through. I find them really heavy and sticky and I certainly couldn't wear one during the day under trousers, they would keep sticking on the body butter :rotfl:
I have a little Burts Bees body lotion to move onto next, its only 30ml so should be nice for a change and quite quick to UU (and it smells amazing!)No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018
35 UU / 13 unnecessary ins0 -
I might have one cheek on the naughty step because I was only a bit naughty. My mum had an Avon brochure through the door and said she'd get me something from it (lovely mum) so I picked a resurfacing serum called renewal or something. I'm a bit sceptical about most miracle skin treatments but I think AHA stuff, which this seems to be a variant on, is worth using. I know that some of you ladies are involved with Avon, did I make a good choice?
BTW skintscotslass, I was intrigued by the brightening hand cream. I'd quite like self-illuminating hands, would save a fortune on leccy, so do let us know if it works!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Well, I've still got the lights on, so its not that good!! My hands are definately brighter though...its like the foundation with the light particles in them. Dont know if thats such a good look when you have wrinkly hands and dont want to draw attention to them
I think the Avon product may be Anew. I bought it when it first came out, when I was only about 28! I cant comment on it as it was stolen when I was selling my house! I've sold 4 properties and its the only thing I've ever had stolen. Bizarre :eek:mad_scientist wrote: »It must be the good influence of this challenge that I am actually using BB most nights now instead of once in a blue moon. Me too. I have been usually body lotion religiously, every time I have a shower or bath. When I was last at the Aveda counter, I got a arm and hand massage and the SA commented on my skin and said it was obvious that I used a lotion reguarly. She said she was amazed at how many people didnt use one regularly. But if it wasnt for this thread, I'm not sure I would have!0 -
A quick UU this evening 2 x sachets of Faces selftan used em on my legs as not a fan of fake tan on the face.0

had a big sort out this weekend, binned some stuff and had a string of UU too:
UU:
Lancome Visionaire mini - WNBA noticed no real difference
espa moisturiser mini - WBA, had a nice smell, lovely and thick yet sank in quickly. think full size is v expensive though!
Tarte lights, camera, splashes waterproof mascara mini - WBA, natural and with waterproofing that works! if only we could get sephora over here
Philosophy coconut macaroon shower gel - WNBA, SLS and i hate the smell of coconut in body products
Korres shower gel - WNBA, SLS in it.
elemis frangipani shower gel - also WNBA because of SLS.
GA:
LCN nail polish - got the pink one and don't like the colour on me.
Percy and Reed hair mask - the perfume got the better of me!
origins make a difference - this has been sat there since i got it free from instyle last year (or maybe year before!) hardly ever being used. figure it mat as well go to someone who will use it.
TA:
bare minerals brightening eye primer - WNBA, tried as hard as i could but its such a faff to use. had about 1/4 left in the mini tube i think. this is a brilliant base primer for its staying power but because the "brightening" part is so, well, bright, if you don't get it on exactly right and in the right thickness it just turns the colour of all your shadows along the glittery pink scale. have got the plain one in the stash so hopefully that will be better.
Origins sleep gel - doesn't work to get you to sleep, smells synthetic and is so old i cant remember when it was bought.
beauty bible lip balm - again, have no idea when this was bought but i know it was years ago.0 -

Thanks Carolyn - I am heading to Sainsbobs tomorrow.mad_scientist wrote: »Yay, I have used up a body butter! 200ml BS Pomegranate BB - WNBA (for at least the next decade) I looked on my UU word document for last year and I UU the last body butter in October so this has taken me 6 months to get through. Yeah I know what you mean. I still have 1 and a half tubs still to get through groan. Last month I said I was just going to use them on my legs after shaving but even then I can't - I just don't like the feeling. I have left one out in the hope that as its there I will use it. Ephiphany moment!!! I am just going to get rid of them. :j

I'm using up a body butter on my feet and shins, it's one with urea in and is working a treat. I like it as a BB, it's just that it's been open a fair while now and is quite thick - more of a winter product.
Two UUs An Avon Skin So Soft Mineral Gems Glamorous Gold Body Wash, 250 ml. WIBA? Not sure, it's a lovely product and I enjoyed using it but the matching lotion was a pain. I noticed that Timotei have some new shower gels that were only a quid in Wilkos. Not seen them before. Anyway, they will still be there at the end of the year when I may need shower gel.
The other UU was a freebie, a 50 ml sample of Vaseline Essential Care body lotion WIB? Yes, this rubbed in really well and was really pleasant to use, though 50 ml only lasted for 2 whole body uses. I know I'm tall and a size 16/18 but that didn't seem a lot of coverage.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
After last night's shift, I'm buying myself something when I finish up this lot of nights. I deserve a reward for not jumping into the ruckus with the patient and the hospital police.
I'm thinking perfume, or a new Dior lipgloss.
It was a long, horrible night. The psych resident basically washed her hands of a patient and left two of us to him.
But I did use up another Nivea body lotion. Well, I got to the bit where you can't pump anymore out and I thought oh b*gger it, I can't remember buying it (found it in the husband's bathroom) and tossed it. It was a 400ml size.0 -
Oh my goodness. I had no idea that listing on eBay was so time consuming! I managed a paltry 11 listings. (I don't want to count how many hours that took!) It has left me never wanting to buy anything again  Never.
Hmmmm. At least I'm not trying to deal with dangerous people though. ***Hugs*** to Wondercollie - that sounds like an awful day.
Two more little used ups to report:
Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid (3ml) - WMBA. I really liked this! It has SPF15 in it and it didn't irritate my skin and didn't leave me all shiny. It's the first thing that I'm putting on my future 'to buy' list
Korres Yoghurt Moisturising Face Cream (7ml) - WNBA. Horrid stuff which I'm pleased to have finished. (I felt bad about declaring it 'horrid' and will amend it to 'disappointing'. Still glad to have finished it though!)0
