Or just pay £114 for a year... saving £50 per year on the normal price.
Dos this include line rental? So you avoid the price hike? Are there any other charges?Big deflation your debts are going up against everything else. I would not like to be a property owner with a big mortgage right now, pay off your debts ASAP!0 -

The £114 IS the line rental for 1 year, on top of that is the £6-50 a month for phone and broadband.0 -
Me too -I have had TT International for years now and have not rung abroad for years either but after complaining to TT about a separate issue and getting a call from the chief exec's office I queried if it would be cheaper for me to move to another package and although it was only a matter of a few pence it was cheaper to stay on TT Internatioonal plus I still have the option of ringing abroad if I want to so I stayed - plus if I had moved package I would have been tying myself into another long term contract rather than have a rolling contract that I can get out of if I stayed disillusioned with TT. I find their service as good as anyone as long as nothing goes wrong but when it does it is a nightmare to sort out but I now have a number for chief exec office who told me to ring there if I have any problems not their usual numberI'm on an old package: Talk International Anytime with 40gb download allowance which I pay £11.31 for a month.
On top of this I have £13.80 line rental and £2.55 call display option.
In light of the line rental going up (again) I feel I should review my options.
Does anyone know if there is a better package out there?
Thanks
I have just had a letter from BT offering a better deal than this so now TT have put up their line rental unless they do me a 'loyalty discount' I shall be moving to BTI am not a beige person:D0 -

I contacted TalkTalk yesterday as I had came to the end of the minimum contract with them. I contacted them using the free customer service number from my TalkTalk Landline and selected the option 'planning on moving home or leaving TalkTalk'. This takes you through to retentions.
I am now on a new contract of £17.05 for the next 12 months. This is made up of line rental and the broadband and phone cost of £3.25 a month. This includes 40GB download limit a month, evening and weekend calls and 0845/0870 nos after 7pm.
I simply told them what deal I was wanting in order for them to retain me as a customer, the agent made the changes and the deal was done. Very easy to do so make that call and speak to retentions and tell them the deal you were looking for to keep your custom and see how much you can save!!

Thanks for that. They have e-mailed me saying that they have tried to contact me several times since I e-mailed them saying £25 for broadband was far too much and I was going to leave. They have e-mailed me again yesterday asking me to contact them which I definitely will after the bank holiday weekend. Unfortunately I am not in a position to negotiate a package deal with them as I live in someone else's house so I can only buy broadband from them but I'll phone and see what they offer all the same.I contacted TalkTalk yesterday as I had came to the end of the minimum contract with them. I have about 6 months left to run on my TalkTalk contract and MSE say that I should be able to switch (to BT) without penalty following TalkTalk's recent price hike. When I quoted the point about material detriment TalkTalk have responded by saying that they can still apply the cancellation charges if they have offered to scrub the increase.
Are they right. because I would dearly like to leave TalkTalk whose broadband availability is very unreliable.0 -
Interesting. I was offered the reduced rate but I just said I'm not interested since the letter advises of price rises and that I can cancel. I'm not sure how the above would stand up because to be honest they've notified you of a price rise to their basic charges. You've got a letter saying prices are going up - there's no other letter to say that this won't affect you. I'd say stick to your guns and tell them you're leaving.I have about 6 months left to run on my TalkTalk contract and MSE say that I should be able to switch (to BT) without penalty following TalkTalk's recent price hike. how would u go about paying upfront when youve 2 months in? do u just pay 10 months? or does it have to be the full 12, dont fancy being tied into another 12 month contract.
My contract finishes in September but if I pay 12 months rental up front now but don't renew in Sep will I get a refund of the unused period?0
