EDF New tariif
As my Edf V8 Tariff contract runs out tomorrow (Saturday) I called them to see if they will be bringing out any new Tariffs in the near future, I was told "don't do anything just yet as they ar bringing out a new tariff on Monday and expect everyone will want to be on it" so must be good looking forward to see what it's all about, roll on monday.

Hi,I'm the on the same tariff as you robt7893.I was hoping to switch to EDF's fix till 2013 tariff, but have just phone them and was told the pulled that tariff yesterday (Thanks for the warning EDF).The girl told me they have a new tariff coming out on Monday which is better than the fix till 2013 tariff(we shall see).
She is going to call me with details about 2pm on Monday...watch this space.0 -
The new tariff is rumoured to be called 'Blue +Price Promise' and is apparently the 3rd cheapest on the market, across all energy companies. I'll be interested to see the actual cost per unit.
''This comes with a pledge to let customers know if a rival supplier brings out a product which is £1 a week or more cheaper at typical use, with no termination fees to pay if they choose to leave.
" I am determined to make EDF Energy a better kind of energy company," said Mr de Rivaz.''

I've just tried Uswitch comparison site but it's not showing anything about EDF's new tariff yet so will give the dust a chance to settle before decideing what to do.0 -
It is on the energyhelpline site.I have done a comparison and its the 3 rd cheapest for me.NPower Go Fix 11 is £6 a year cheaper and First Utility is £8 a year cheaper,so for me its not worth switching, therefore I have just signed up to the new Blue + plan as my online s@ver8 has just expired.0

I did the same thing last night as I was existing customer with EDF I switched on line, have just had confirmation E-Mail this morning, looks as though I have kept old account number so hopefully everything will go through ok.0 -
Not very wonderful rates (if you are already on an EDF legacy fix), but the lack of ETC is a big attraction.
No doubt they will have pulled this before Fixed Saver v2 comes to and end in September though. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Not switching till the results of Which?'s Big Switch come out. British Gas has already said it will not take part in the reverse auction but probably no loss there!0

Much ado about nothing imo. And, people, it's EDF. :eek:0

SSE have also pulled out of the big switch.
There is no Termination fee on the EDF Blue product so if the Which deal was any better (very doubtful) you would be free to swap.0
