Well my day has been pretty good. Caught up with a few *at home* chores and decided to get a few things in the village shop and not venture any further today. Made potato pie for tea. Padded it out with lots of things
Got enough for tomorrow nights tea and froze more for later meals.
Scuzz Well done on your positive attitude. :T
Catowen Hope all is well with you. (((((hugs))))
Did anyone else watch a show than ran all last week on around 6pm? It was a cooking challenge and then the grand final was to be on. I missed the final. If you did could you put me out of my misery and tell me who won.
Have a good night sleep to all the night owls. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

I have been incredibly lazy lately and I'm not apologising for it

Have had enough of families, son got stopped by the police for riding a bike with no lights  He had 7 days to take the bike to the police station with lights on, trouble was it wasn't his bike so he had to arrange a time with his mate to pick it up. The only time he could go was yesterday morning so he had to miss college in the morning - the police said he had to go anytime from mon-fri between 8am and 5pm. I rang them and explained he's at college on mondays and work the rest of the week and asked if he could go to the main station in town in the evening and they refused  Then he decided that as he'd missed the morning, he may as well take the rest of the day off
Miss tru actually asked me for a fag this morning
Our monitor's dying a death, mr tru came home from work with a 15" TFT for free :T He didn't feel very well and asked could I get the rest out of the car? I said what rest? He said, "J gave us his PC :T And B rang, do we want a 32" tv with built-in freeview? He's selling it for £150 but if we want it, we can have it for nothing" I was going    Had to turn it down though, it won't fit in our lounge, we've got a 28" and that's too big

Mine's the same
Scuzz - the minute I gave up and stopped trying with everyone, I felt sooooo relieved. I started arranging what I wanted to do, when I wanted to do it and I feel so much better. Hubby and kids still not changed but I decided that was their problem, if they mess up why [strike]do[/strike] DID (not any more lol) I think I have to worry about it and fix it?
Mr tru is in my good books today because of the pc lol but he'll probably mess up tomorrow lol.Bulletproof0 -
How do we sort them out? - it's disgraceful how they treat us:mad:taplady wrote:ccstar - we are having problems with our 17 year old DS too at the moment, wasting most of his earnings, stopping up half the night and not being able to get up for work next day and doing absolutely nothing around the house:mad: so you have my sympathy. I don't think it is possible to "sort them out" I think they have to grow through it, call we can do is to stop waiting on them, let it hit their pockets, and/or have no clean clothes, and/or get their own meals. It hurts like h*ll at first to do it, but if we allow them to thread on us they will. It's not just ours its teenagers everywhere, the 4 houseshare guys in with my DS are worse. If they are working insist they pay their board first, and then let them manager on the rest if they don't get up. I think they turn noturnal between 17 and 25!

They want to be adults, treat them accordingly, no one washes your clothes, gets your meals, bails us out if we want to go out.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Had a call from DS's tutor at college this afternoon - he's behind with his homework, can I have a word with him? DS is totally laid back, he's not bothered, full of the usual excuses.
