Hiya,
Happy Birthday Crazychik. Have a lovely day.
Woke up this morning and looked out the window & there's snow on the hills. :j :j
How beautiful. It's raining here this morning. Had a lovely day yesterday. Went up to Aviemore and had lunch, then took the road down through Glencoe on the way home. Brilliant sunshine all the day.
Dropped in and got a fish supper for tea. That was Aunty J's treat. Yummy.
DD rang up as well and we had a good chat earlier on.
Today I plan on doing ironing, finances  , and some grocery shopping this arv. I also have a few letters to write etc. So it's good weather to do those things.
Have a great one everybody, and ((((hugs)))) for everyone. ByeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Hello all,
Well it wasn't good news about the move yesterday, moving date has now been put back another week, to Friday March 9th. Reason being now is that our BUYER (yes, yesterdays delay was down to our seller) is getting a CHEQUE sent for her deposit from Ireland, it won't arrive till Wednesday and then won't clear till the 9th (as it's in Euros). A bit ridiculous to be sending cheques in the post at this stage, let alone the huge clearing time - we have been talking about exchange & completion for the last 2 weeks, so why has this only come up now?
I've said we're going to go and offer on another house we like if exchange doesn't happen today, and leave them all bickering between themselves! I seem to be the only person actually trying to move forward with this, and everyone else involved is just slowing it down. It's even starting to change the way I feel about the house, as I was excited about it but now I feel annoyed with the whole thing. Grrrrrrr.
Aside from that, my 15 year old nephew needs heart surgery and we found out yesterday that he'll be going into to the Royal Brompton (where my hubby works!) next Tuesday and having it on Wednesday! My sister's is a bit shell shocked, but I'm of the opinion that it's great that it's all happening so quickly rather than sitting about waiting and him getting worse and having more funny turns. Obviously I can understand she's scared but it's got to be so much easier to do now as opposed to his last operation at 18 months when he was tiny.
SO plans for today? Dunno, I'm so fed up I don't want to carry on with the packing at the moment. Besides which, I don't know what to pack - I don't know how long I'll be here! I don't really know what to do with myself...
Sorry for the gripe! Hope everyone else has a better day. :rolleyes:0 -
Morning all.
Happy Birthday Crazychik
Good luck Sahmx5
Well done dlb
Raining here in Inverness but it was snowing at home and the roads were really dodgy.
I've been to the doctors and have got a throat and ear infection so feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment. I've got antibiotics though so should feel better soon. I'm glad I bought a yoghurt maker as I'll be eating lots of it to combat the effects of the antibiotics.
My new wool quilt was delivered yesterday. It's supposed to be really good at regulating the temperature especially for those, like me, who suffer night sweats. I tried it last night and it really worked. I slept right through. Long may it last.
Nothing else doing today really. So head down and back to w**k!!

Happy birthday Crazy Chick!
Well done dlb for your bank charge refund.
I have had a not great start to my day.
I am struggling to finish a report for a customer. Had a bad time as I lost the original report the day before it was planned to be finished due to my laptop hard disk failure. Have therefore had to start it all again and have been working on it for seven days! Am up to 30 pages, but its still not finished and I am struggling to pull the thing together - am sick of it!
So, hopefully will get that done by end of play today.
My new desk arrives tomorrow so I will at last have a decent working area at my OH's house. That should help my productivity hopefully too.
The washing is in.
I need to take the carpet cleaner back to the hire shop today.
The steak and kidney pie filling is now in the freezer.
I have got two mackerel out of the freezer for dinner.
OH and I had a chat last night about selling his house, moving into mine and going into business together. I feel guilty as I am earning a lot of money but I have been bored with IT for a while and fancy a change and OH is unhappy too at work. I am convinced both of us will do better working for ourselves. I will need to ensure I have paid off my MBA debts first though.....
Hope everyone has a good day!
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

morning peeps
Happy Birthday Crazychik! Hope you have a lovely day
Jackie O - fab news about Tilly Grace. I'm currently waiting for news of a friend who's baby was due yesterday.........nothing yet
Not much to report - been away all weekend staying with friends, so ate & drank far too much & did no housework.....ah well.....
Really need to get organised for our ski trip; we go on Sunday & the cases are still under the bed (unusual for me!). OH is working late tonight, so I might crack on & get most of it sorted this evening.
BUT
That depends on my trip to the dentist this afternoon. My abcess is back again (less than a month after last time) & the dentist has made "take it out" noises recently, so I may come home minus a tooth.....
Chilli planned for tea, with some tortilla wraps that need using up.
Have a lovely Tuesday everyone0 -
Bread is in the bread maker, weetabix cake in oven and welshcake ingredients measured and awaiting my return to the kitchen! Phew! Time for a breather!
On top of this I have to empty cupboard under sink as we (hopefully) have a plumber round today to fix taps.
Lelc - Please can you let me know details about the quilt? I am finding the night sweats exhausting at the moment!
Bargain Rzl - I have heard that Trevor Nunn has fiddled about with this production - some people love it and others not happy about it. I'll ask dd about the best deals on tickets though as she works there.
Right must go find a good map of the area as we have decided we would like to eat tapas before the production!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
