Happy Birthday Crazychick! :bdaycake:
Lots of luck today at the school sahmx5 I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
Wet and cold here so I think I'll be making another soup, yesterdays was good and warming and used up the leftover veg from weekend.
I slept well last night thank goodness no nightmares! Although as I am at the moment reading Not on the label by Felicity Lawrence I am surprised! Believe me it is enough to put anyone off convenience foods!
Tonight we are out with friends in London as lovely dd has got us tickets to see Porgy and Bess!:j so have to save some energy up for that as I find the underground hard going especially early evening. Can't go any earlier as friend is a teacher.
Jackie-O - lovely to hear that Tilly Grace is doing so well!
Kaz - think I'll be making more welshcakes soon as they never last long around here! Do they freeze well? If so I will have to see if I can get some hidden away in the freezer. Adding the ground cloves makes all the difference.
Breakfast - Oatabix and soya milk
Lunch - hm soup
Dinner - hopefully tapas in London
Have a lovely day despite the weather!

Happy birthday Crazy Chick - hope you have a lovely day.
Morning all
Cold, wet and downright miserable out there today - must go to the post office later though and pop to the farmers market for some fruit.
Getting really nervous now about Thursday - I can log in at 9am and see the school placement for DD1 - - I really do hope she's got into the school she wanted.
Feeling a little cold and shivery this morning - I will not give into it though - far to much to do now that DH has gone back to work - how do they manage to get in the way quite so much? Yesterday I asked him to put some bits in the ironing basket - half an hour later I found him lining all the spare hangers up in the wardrobe.....I keep them in the ironing basket so they're to hand when I'm ironing - but noooooooo.....apparantly it makes more sense to have them hanging empty in the already overstuffed wardrobe - It's a good job I love him
Going to make a soup tonight - not sure which flavour yet - will see what I can pull out of the freezer in a bit.
Must crack on - have a great day all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Good Luck SAHMx5
Glad to hear Tilly Grace is thriving JackieO
Pouring here too but have to go to Post office in a mo to get car tax and send some parcels. Then have someone coming for coffee. She's a girl who moved to the area last year and her neighbour gave her my number. TBH we have little in common,, she is a former high flying exec now a sahm and I find her a bit dificult. She is very very confident and just a little pushy but she has no friends in the area and I think she is struggling with being at home so I'll persevere.
Drove the girls to school today as I had to drop off a huge pile of cardboard egg box type things for their craft day. I seem to be the only mum who sends stuff in like this but they are so short of art supplies and I hate that the girl whose shop I work in never recycles her cardboard.
House looks like a chinese laundry but in a way it was lucky that the TD broke yesterday as the warranty expires tommorrow and I'd forgotten. So I've renewed it now for £120:eek: Stiil as it's broken down twice in 6 weeks it's probably worth it.
BM and WM are just finishing and DW just on. Beds made and bathroom "whizzed" so off to do kitchen before going out.
Tea will be marinated lamb joint from the butcher with mash and veg.
Take care all.

sounds just like my DH! am trying to get him in to see the doc at the moment. Mine hates having time off work and has discharged himself from hospital several times already
Second signalong(sign language) lesson tonight and am looking forward to it!:j
DS2 announced 10 mins before he was due to leave the house that the 2 history exams he had to redo he hadn't done and could I give him a letter:mad: the answer was no! told him he should have done it instead of going out with his mates and now he had to face the consequences! felt a bit mean but he has to learn.
SAHMX5 good luck at the school, hope you get satisfaction!
Have written a list of all I need to do today:eek: but first I think I need a :coffee:
see ya all later xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Morning :hello:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRAZYCHIK :bdaycake:
Didn't get much done last night, I was supposed to write up an opera review and a concert review for the website I write for, but I got about halfway through each and was so knackered I emailed the editor and said he could have one tonight and one tomorrow (am out tonight so can't do both) then went to bed and crashed out for the night
Couldn't bring myself to get out of bed this morning either, until the last minute - so ended up getting the bus to work instead of walking
sahmx5 - best of luck with getting the problem sorted out.
JackieO - great news about little Tilly Grace :T
lil_me, it just occurred to me this morning that there is a chance we might know each other - we are about the same age and I am originally from Durham. Which secondary school did you go to? (PM me if you like!)
catznine, enjoy Porgy and Bess - I haven't seen the current production yet and am not sure I will, as I know the original version pretty well and the current West End version has been rejigged a lot, lots of stuff cut out, songs put in different keys etc, so I'm not sure whether I would enjoy it or not
Still, I am tempted to go - they have a deal every day where you can queue to get good seats for £20.
Ticklemouse - hope you're still around, and that things aren't going too badly for you. How is the house hunting?
Tonight I am going to a concert at the Barbican. I really wish I wasn't, as I'm still feeling very tired (for the last couple of months I've been permanently knackered, not helped by the fact that my mum was here on Saturday so I didn't get my weekly lie in) but I'm really looking forward to the concert and I've had the ticket since this time last year!
I have done an inventory of the freezer (sort of) and think I can get away with not doing any major shopping or cooking until the weekend, which is good. I think I need to make a meal plan and a big shopping list, go to the market/butchers on Saturday, and then cook up three or four batches of soups/chillies/stews for the freezer.
Hope you are all well - or if not, that you're feeling better soon.
Love Rzl xx
