but I wanted to add my tuppence for what its worth.......It just shows what society is like these days when charities are not immune from people trying to use them to save money. Hope everyone who was using the voucher to save money and not for the charitable purpose it was intended enjoys their bread.
And as for trying to sell it on ebay if that is true.......words fail me.

Lol, foul play MSE. The irony of this website (more specifically the forum) sometimes is astonishing. We should try an arrange a fundraising drive for MS society as a minor form of recompense, after all its what we as consumers would demand if the shoe was on the other foot.0

Well the MS Society hasn't lost anything. On the contary it's just got some free publicity for its Cake Bake. It's a different matter for G.R. Wright & Sons Ltd of course, who will no doubt have to pay up once the bill comes through from Valassis.
One question though, if the vouchers were "meant for fundraisers" who were participating in the Cake Bake, due to held on 4 May 2012, why are the coupons valid until 31 Dec 2012? I just get the feeling that there is a little something we aren't being told.0 -
Hopefully, the scavengers amongst the MSE forum members, may fell a little guilt over this and not use the vouchers anymore, and let the vouchers be used for what they were intended for, i.e rasing money for worthy charities.
However, with some of the posts on here with people quoting SOGA ,or complaining about prices in charity shops, perhaps it is expecting too much with regards to peoples scruples.
'' I only did it, because someone else did it'' will be the quote of the week on here.
IMO, Anyone using these vouchers for any other purpose than for raising charity, IS a scavenger, with no scruples whatsoever. It is not a sign of how poor people are in UK today, it is a sign that shows how low people will stoop to , in effect Rob from a charity and it's sponsors.0 -

It doesn't surprise me. There are plenty of people on here and on Hot Deals UK who would be prepared to screw anyone over in order to get a bargain. Krispy kreme used to do a charity Christmas card pack where each card had a voucher for free donuts. Then people started selling the card/voucher individually on ebay and the scheme was withdrawn. Some people just have no morals and really don't give a toss.
Fair enough, the charity hasn't lost money. But a scheme that was meant to help them out has simply succeeded in lining the pockets of greedy so-and-so's. How proud you must be to have cleared the shelves at Tesco.0 -

Why don't you remove your thread or make an apology to the charity ?
