I booked for NEC with ticketmaster by phone. I haven't received the confrimation email yet, has anyone else? They haven't debited the payment yet either so hope there's nothing to worry about.

Ticketmaster's website was a complete waste of time Fri morning! Some of the encrypted letter things were impossible to read as well, unless I need glasses...

Hi, I have not received any email confirmation as yet from ticketmaster, I read on their website 48 hours which has now expired.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

just off phone been advised that there will be tixs available on wednesday due to peoples details being incorrect/ overbooking/ credit card failures and ebay cancellations

What do they mean by ebay cancellations? Can seetickets get the money back from the profit makers?

Will they cancel transactions already confirmed by email and debited from credit card if they are from the same household?

yes you have bought your tixs adhering to there policies if they find out after taking money from your account they can refund your money and resell your allocation

the ticket agencies have started cancelling tixs where the seller discloses seat positions etc on ebay

    Yeah I think I see.

Did they say they will go through every transaction as they allocate the tickets and cancel any duplicate orders?

And it'll be interesting to see how they catch the touts on ebay. Will it be just current sellers or those who have already sold? There must be hundreds! What a mammoth job!!

ebay will not divulge dets on sold items..... all it takes is the companies to email current sellers asking for seat numbers.... its happened before and is happening again

I have just phoned seetickets and they say the computer will be automatically cancelling an duplicate ticket orders even if the money has been taken from you card.

How does that work for multiple occupants people booking on different credit cards in the same household though??

I missed out on tickets too - i was on a train to york! so my mate tried to get them with no luck.

I am SO against ebay and touts selling tickets - i know it is free market ecomony but it stops genuine fans being able to get tickets.

Hopefully i will be able to get some through a proper agent before the gigs (managed to get george michael ones after initially not being able to)
When i went to see George at his 'sold out' gigs there was a whole block of seats going to waste - no doubt touts seats..... and lots of fans who couldnt get tickets and would have loved those seats CRAZY.

Good luck everyone who missed out!

  • Hi all,

SeeTickets WILL cancel tickets without batting and eyelid if you've broken their terms and conditions. You can sometimes get away with it but I fear with the amount of time between the tickets going on sale and the date of the gigs that ALL costomers that have abused the system , knowingly or unknowingly ( in my experience they don't really care ) will be tracked and have their ticket orders cancelled I'm afraid.

I think you'll find that these were last minute seats that became available due to corporate companies declining their offers of seats ! It happens every time, believe me. Either that or a coach broke down.... :D
