It's easy to say that before you set foot in the place, once you start to struggle and the pressure builds it's a different story. I can understand why people leave. It's completely different to what I expected and again going from Land Rover to Jaguar is a different set up again.

People who had physical jobs before tend to be fine, It's the people that are used to using their brain at work that tend to struggle.

The majority of people get sent to trim and final, and it is a serious fukin graft. I can completly understand, the job is not for everyone. It may not have been for me, who know, Body in white is probably a ever so slightly easier, but the potential for !!!! up's is much higher, for examply, if you miss a weld, or a don't assembly your part correctly and it goes through to the welding robot, you can potential damage a four hundred thousand pound piece of equipment.

Just remember, don't be afraid to ask for help. It's better you ask than mess something up that gets passed down later on! Also, if you can work quickly and accurately and get get a rythem going, you will be fine.

Sorry to be annoying and ask again, but do I fill out all of the paper work before I start, including the pera workbook? Was late august when I had my interview so just need a quick reminder! Thank you!
  • Had a call this afternoon asking me to start on Monday at landrover Solihull. They said its only a 6 week contract to start. I am abit dubious about it because I'm leaving a well paid job permenant job for it. But I couldn't turn it down because I know full we'll if I did then I could kiss goodbye to jag. So at the min I'm happy but also a little worried. Can't have the best of both worlds though I suppose
