    I was told 12 months agency then rolling 12 month STC till got permanent in 4 years.

    I have my deposit saved, i can easily afford my mortgage but until i get my STC it will be hard to get a mortgage. It's not impossible from reading up but certainly harder.
  • Anybody help me.just had manual for wolverhampton and messed up before wrenching put end cap on the wrong way do u think I'm OK done everything pretty much up then

    Its probable that his employer will have a subsidised scheme and pay for them out of salary.

  • I got a phone call today saying they want me to go to a pre employment evening tomorrow and start 2nd February.
    I have not received a emailing saying where i have to go or what i will be doing. I had my interview in November at Land rover solihull.

    same thing mate, got the phone call today and she said she would send over all the details in an email but havn't received anything so far.

    Is your pre employment thing tomorrow at 5? any idea what the medical thing is we have to do?

    Following on from our conversation, please take this as confirmation to start on assignment with Manpower at the Land Rover Solihull site on Tuesday 2nd February 2016 at 7.30am
    As discussed via telephone, can you please attend a pre-employment session on the Wednesday 20th January 2016 @ 5:00pm at the below address, if you are driving to the session please park in the visitors car park which is situated on the right hand side as you enter Lode Lane. I would anticipate that you will be here for around 1.5 Hours, please wear casual clothing.
    During the 1.5hours the following will take place:

    ü You will be measured for your work wear

    ü Your photo will be taken for your ID card to the site

    ü One to one with the Occupational Health department

    ü Pre-employment session with PERA (training provider) which includes a short assessment.



    Your assignment details are as follows:
    For the first two weeks you will be working with PERA the training provider before being moved into an area of work in the third week.
    As we supply a fully flexible work force we currently cannot confirm the shift requirements, this will be discussed with you during your induction but we will expect flexibility across a number of shifts based on our clients requirements.
    This assignment is as a Production Operative role at a basic pay of £11.58 per hour. If you do go onto a shift pattern this rate of pay will be paid at a premium and again will be discussed in your induction.
    Your hours of work during Pera training will be –



    Week 1

    Tuesday – 7.30am – 16.00pm

    Wednesday – 7.30am – 16.00pm

    Thursday - 7.30am – 16.00pm

    Friday - 7.30am – 12.30pm



    Week 2

    Monday – 7.30am – 16.00pm

    Tuesday – 7.30am – 16.00pm

    Wednesday – 7.30am – 16.00pm

    Thursday - 7.30am – 16.00pm

    Friday - 7.30am – 12.30pm


    Manpower/Land Rover Address is as follows:
    Block 18
    Land Rover
    Lode Land
    Solihull
    B92 8NW

    There is NO opportunity to park on site at Land Rover Solihull on your first day, all those driving themselves to the induction on Tuesday 2nd February 2016 will need to park at the offsite car park for Jaguar Land Rover situated at Birmingham Airport. (Directions attached). You will also need to bring this confirmation email with you and proof of ID, i.e driving licence or passport. If you do not bring your email, security will not allow you on the bus. Further commination will be given on your first day on parking going forward.
    The coach will be leaving the airport car park promptly @ 6:45am.
    A full dedicated transfer service is in place to support the movement of staff to and from the airport and the Land Rover site.
    Please be aware that you should not be parking in the surrounding residential roads at any point during your employment (YOU MUST PARK AT THE AIRPORT)
    Should you NOT be driving please ensure that you are outside the Land Rover main reception (Lode Lane) for 7am to meet a Manpower representative.
    As discussed please ensure that you are wearing your safety boots (please see the attached for correct one’s) and are in the correct work wear i.e no jeans or anything that may be a scratch risk to the vehicles and no football shirts.
    · Please ensure that you bring your bank details with you.
    I would advise you to bring your own lunch with you on day one as you won’t be familiar with site.

    ye just got it that email myself lol, well i suppose i'll see you tomorrow and all through pera training presumably :beer:

    wonder how much pay difference there is on shifts.
