Hi guys has anyone done the manaul assessment for wolverhampton site? any help is this the same as the production operative for solihul site etc?

    Think it is quite different.

The manpower lads who applied for Wolverhampton, when they found out they were being let go from CB, had to retake the manual assessment due to the different skills needed.

Thanks Richard. I had my assessment on Thursday.. I didnt get to finish the assessment but still passed.. its completely different to the one at Solihul. This one involves putting together engine parts including taking measurements, nothing too complicated. However its a lot longer but they do stress that they prefer people to take their time and get as many steps correct, rather than rush and do it all wrong. Also, the assessors and demonstrator were really friendly and helpful!

Anyone here working at Wolverhampton site? If so whats it like? Is it 3 shift there yet?

I work at JLR in Solihull but recently moved house so its now become a 60 mile round trip where as Wolves is less than half that distance. The extra distance combined with the usual airport/car park tomfoolery for Solihull is starting to wear on me now.
  • They've opened the recruitment again..
  • Hi - does anyone know the current shift times at the engine plant please?
  • hi i have manual assessment at castle vale test centre, and wanted to know what assessments will i face? can anybody help me out ... thank yu.

  • Well after being told i was successful and just gad to wait for a start date SEVEN months ago, I've finally got a start date. Starting at solihull this Tuesday!!
  • Hey guys, I've been following the thread for a cupple weeks. I had my manual assessment yesterday at the skill centre and a cupple hours later I got an email saying

"Thank you for attending the manual assessment to work with Manpower at Jaguar Land Rover West Midlands .
You have successfully completed this part of the process.
We will be reviewing all applicants at this stage and will be in touch to confirm if you have been selected for the next level of recruitment"

Does this mean I passed or have they just acknowledged that I have done the assessment?
  • Was just wondering if any of use who have already been for the manual assessment could give me an idea as to what happens during it? Also did use managed to get parked there ok for it?
