I was let go at the end of April. Same situation. I was never late or off. I've heard rumours they are taking on again around end of May beginning of June. I was on the door line.

    Anyone else heard anything?

  • Tbh I'd be happy with the five years. I know it's uncertain but it's still probably the best paid job I'll get lol.

AFAIA all the Manpower taken on this year have been given notice, most were only on 6, 8, 12 week contracts. Many have applied for the engine plant.

The Manpower lads who started with us last year (Oct/Nov time) haven't been told anything yet but we have heard strong rumors that they will be ok.

Shut down is end of July first week of August....I don't think anyone knows how it all works. I know that we start 2 shift pattern May....the 3 shift starts end of the year so recruiting start of September for that. Honestly though if you can wait it's an amazing place to work and we'll worth the wait. Best of luck x

Hi bbex, what's it like at the emc, what's the work, hours, breaks etc like¿
