Yeah I did have mine at Castle Vale. I'm not sure about that, I never had to for my manual, but that could have changed.0 -
hi are there any tests in the interview stage?0

so this manual assessment does everyone have to do it separately while everyone watches or is there more than one doing it at the same time? do they tell you then and then if you have passed?
also how long did you wait for the next stage?
cheers0 -

You will be doing it with about 5 other people, all doing it at the same time, they dont tell you there and then if you have passed but they will e-mail you within 48 hours to let you know how you did. They e-mailed me the morning after.0 -

When you’re doing the manual assessment, everyone watches you while you tackle it. They also record you – which I assume is linked to a monitor/TV, where other assessors are also analysing on how you are coping with the assessment. It may sound quite daunting - unfortunately it is. Manpower is very thorough and stringent with its vetting process.
You’ll receive a letter through the post informing you about the result of your assessment. Typically, candidates who are successful, receive a letter with a 1st class stamp while candidates who are unsuccessful receive a letter with a 2nd class stamp - in essence you’ll be hearing from them sooner if you are successful.
The length of time it takes Manpower, to give you notification about your next assesment varies greatly. It’s hard to give you a definitive answer, it could take a day, a week, a month or maybe even a year before they ever get back to you.0 -

thanks for the reply, mrmikey was saying there is about 5 people all doing the assessment at the same time?
also don't they just email if you have past or failed or do they always send a letter aswell?
cheers0 -
When I did mine (about 3 years ago) we were in two groups of 5 and the ones not doing it were definitely not allowed to watch.
Never heard of anyone getting physical letters, or being filmed, for that matter.
It would cost them a fortune in stamps and anyway a big company like that would have a franking machine and wouldn't use stamps.
Of course I could be wrong but people on here have only ever mentioned email and I certainly never got a letter.0 -

what actually do they want you to bring for the last 2 years of employment? what exactly do they want me to bring just normal name and address on a piece of paper or official papers from the company?0
