No do not dress smart, when they rang you they should have told you to wear joggers, no jeans etc. At this stage you just need to successfully complete the manual assessment wearing the correct clothing.
  • Hey all hope your all well on this miserable day,

Something just occurred to me today about JLR/Manpower recruitment process, some member on this site said manpower are fast enough to inform you if you have failed the assessment centre but winning candidates are left in the dark.

When I registerd to manpower prior to interview I had to fill out a CRB form, I doubt they will send off the CRB form for every registerd candidate as there is a small fee per candidate.

So would this explane the time line?
  • Had my interview nearlly two weeks ago now. The wait is killing me. Should i expect to wait a little longer??? Cheers

from what I've heard if you haven't had the dreaded email, then you should be ok from what I've read.

whats happens at the manual assessment mate? did you do yours at the castle vale place? i've read on here about the brake pedal one being particularly difficult?

    cheers.

You have to assemble a clutch pedal, it's not difficult, and also place magnets in the car in a set order. They do a demonstration at the start, step by step showing you everything you have to do. Pay attention. There is also instructions on a table that you can read at any time during the test. It's a lot easier that it may sound, and very straight forward, make sure you follow the process correctly step by step. Try not to let nerves get the better of you, as this is what will make you fail. Try to be as calm as possible. Also at the end of the test, there is an opportunity to give 5 suggestions of ways to improve the process, try and answer as many as possible as you can score points on them, things like; electric tools, swivel seat in the vehicle, tool box on wheels. There's three, you can have a think of some others. Good luck to all taking their manual assessment!
