    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
I had my manual assessment at Castle Vale and passed it. Now have interview next week, anyone have any questions that come up in the interview? Found some on a previous thread but not sure if their up to date.

In terms of the manual assessment for anyone who is doing it, it is fairly straight forward really. You get a couple of guys show you what to do and you also have instructions to follow. You have to assemble a brake pedal and put all the nuts in, followed by putting magnets on in a certain order (they are all different coloured) and putting a few switches in. I literally just finished as time was about to run out and seemed to be one of the only 2 out of 6 to be finished.

Just make sure you follow instructions as they want to see you follow a strict set of instructions. For example when you put the nuts in put them in clockwise order stuff like that really. Try not too spend too much time reading instructions as their a bit longwinded and time consuming if you read them for too long. I had a quick glance when I had to get something from work station or if I really needed reminding about something but best bet is to really pay attention to what they tell you in the demonstration.

hi there, i had my interview yesterday. this morning i got an email saying ive passed all parts of the asesment; as far as i can tell form this page it means im in. is this true? aslo how long do people usually wait till they hear about a start date?

    cheers

Does it say 'passed' all parts or 'completed' parts of the assessment? I wouldn't get your hopes up to say you're 100% in because it is a long process so they wouldn't have reviewed everything this fast, best thing you can do is give manpower a call. As far as waiting goes my interview was before Christmas around the 20th of December and I found out I had the job around the 16th jan.
  • Hi guys, just had the e-mail from manpower saying I've been unsuccessful after everything I have been through with them, I thought i did quite well in my assessment and interview but obviously not.

Just wondering if anyone knows if I can phone them or e-mail them as I would like an explanation as to why I was unsuccessful.

im not sure about calling them as they did say if you were unsuccessful that you can retry in 3 months time. did you get any emails straight after your interview?

I had my interview on the 19th January and received an email this morning saying I was unsuccessful.

They say in the email that they appreciate the time I have put into my application, yet they can not spare a couple of minutes to give me a proper email explaining where I went wrong.
  • I had my interview on Friday 16th and still haven't heard anything? I have rang manpower and they said they would get in touch with jag and get somebody to call me and still nothing? Don't know if this is good or bad?

I also had my interview on Friday 16th for Halewood. I've emailed Manpower who said that you will be contacted in due course. I think it's just taking time

My oh rung them up after his last unsuccessful application to get feedback and they gave him an email address but the address didn't seem to work so I wouldn't hold your breath about getting feedback unfortunately.
  • Hi guys. Got a call today and they invited me to manual assessment. When I asked about other days or times available something went wrong and I lost the connection (or maybe they hang up?).
Unfortunately it showed no number (Private number) and I dont know where to call back. Can anybody help with the number?
    I live in Birmingham. Thanks!

If you have gone through manpower I would just ring their main number and tell them what happened and they will know where to redirect you. 01384 458828
