And also make sure you take the right things to prove your right to work in the UK as these are the only things they asked for from me. :)

This is vital. Make sure you have ALL the required documents. They will not interview without.

I nearly missed out because I didn't have photo ID and had to postpone my interview until I could update my driving licence to a photo one.
  • I wouldn't worry too much about who your personal referees are, I used 2 family friends and neither was contacted even though I start next week. Also even though they may not ask for all the documents when you are there, make sure you have everything they list. One person in my interview got turned away because he forgot a utility bill
  • Just to add to my last post, all they ask for with your referee is their name and address.

    Thanks for the info guys.

I got my passport, water bill, birth certificate to show mothers maiden name, 2 references now sorted (got a teacher friend to write my other one) just need to take my CV with the names and addresses of last 2 yard of jobs and i'm done.

Is it just an interview? At the bottom of the email it says after the interview and drugs test there is an assessment?

You have to wait 3 months, check back with Manpower, see if they are recruiting again and if so re-apply from the beginning.

All I did was an interview and drugs test, no assessment. All together it lasted less than an hour for me, I was quite surprised as I know people that spent up to 3 hours doing it.

I did mine at Telford it may be different for you and you might have to do an assessment.
  • I only did interview and drug test too... the longest part is the paperwork at the start! I think if you are applying at the wolverhampton EMC they are all held at wolverhampton college in Telford. A definite tip is leave a bit early if you haven't been before as I struggled to find it off my sat nav, it's quite simple to find otherwise
