Very informative and puts my hubby at ease as he was a bit apprehensive over keeping up, as he has been thrown in at the deep end on his first day with very little training. Going from your post and what he judged on his first day, it appears he has a starter job there at the moment but it looks like they build your skills up with moves to different sub-sections from 2 weeks onwards. He will be able to judge how the system works more in the next couple of days.
Again, many thanks.
Are you on X shift? Same as hubby!
Hi there tell him not to worry. They tend to throw you in the deep end its the best way to learn. All the people who have been there started the same way. Ive been there 6 weeks now and when i look back the first two weeks i was stressing too much because I didnt want to make a mistake!! However he will find as time goes on he'll become more relaxed and confident0 -

Hello to you all again,
Need your help, I am on X3 shift, but need a lift desperately will pay up to £15 towards petrol costs. I live local to factory, near South Parkway Station. I need picking up by Station, Woolton Rd by Allerton Cemetery Gates, end of Mather Avenue or Stamfordham Drive, I am punctual, had a lift previously but he has moved onto X2 shift. Ask your fellow workers for me, as I said I will pay up to £15. I work on T1, just leave a message on here for me.

JAGUAR Land Rover (JLR) is to create more than 1,100 new jobs, it was announced today.
The expansion of the workforce at its Castle Bromwich plant in the West Midlands will support the launch of new Jaguar models, including the XF Sportbrake.
Business Secretary Vince Cable hailed the expansion as “fantastic news for Castle Bromwich, while JLR said this was “a very exciting time for Jaguar”.
The XF, XK and XJ Jaguar models are made at Castle Bromwich, with around 80% of production exported to more than 100 markets worldwide.
Back in March JLR announced it was recruiting an extra 1,000 workers for its plant in Halewood. Expansion plans in Liverpool included adding a third shift to allow round-the-clock production of its Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Freelander.
