Yet you claim to be on top of what google does seo wise, and you dont even know the basics, like sites with lots of rapidly changing content get spidered really, really fast???

its not as simple as that and there are many factors that come into play, for this thread to come above root directories of other quite large sites is pretty impressive. However yes large sites do get spidered more often.

Google are changing alot about how they rank sites for the better, this should negativly effect forums. The algorythm for how often a site is crawled is not released so any comments on it are speculation

I have all my sites that change on a regular basis (one of which is a forum) to an hourly crawl.

Maybe you should read up on SEO and design before you make your site go live.

  • steve 1980 im sorry to do this but all you seem to do on this site is try to put others down. So here we go sorry admins

Your site is full of errors use a html validator. You have used another persons theme but have not edited it in even the smallest attempt to make it look good. btw google is making valid more of a priority soon so poorly writen sites that are less likly to render well across multiple browsers will be down graded

I dont even need to pen test your site to know its insercure. I know that from non passive footprinting. here is a free tool to check it http://www.randomstorm.com/wpscan-security-tool.php
its written in ruby so any1 can install and run it.

where are your terms and conditions for your hosting, im almost certain ur a reseller. Your claiming to offer unlimited hosting, there is no such thing as unlimited download limits and space on hosting. So would you be ok with sombody writing a datamining script on your server perfectly legal. However will be mining about 10gigs of data an hour so after a year thats nearly 100 terrabytes?

reading ur past posts you have reccomended business's essentialy advertising them. that could be ur best mate business for all we know?

You claim to have been in business for 10 years as a web designer and your prices start at £100 thats a bit low isnt it. so after tax thats around 70 quid to meet with a client, make a mockup for the site, go back to them get that approved, if not approved changed, then build the site, then put the site up, submit it to search engins, thats not to mention any graphic design work.

    two options here

    a) your not offering a proffessional service and making a website like that in an hour and saying there u go with no proper feedback or consoltation

    b) Your doing far to much work for far to little money, but from looking at your site id guess it is the 1st and anybody that has done business with you has regretted it, maybe this is why you feel it nessercary to pounce on everybody on this forum.

you have been in the industry for 10 years but have no portfolio or qualifications. The no portfolio raises the biggest concern? why no portfolio have you not got work your proud to show off?

all my posts up until now have been to try and help the op all of yours have been to critise or try to put others down

Calm down dear. I do not use templates from other sources, I design each one myself. My customers are very happy with their sites thank you very much.

I am a reseller, who cares? I don't own my own servers as they cost too much.

The simple rule that you keep forgetting is that you are not allowed to self advertise your own business on MSE which is why I reported both of you.

As for qualifications I suggest you get one in spelling before having a go at others.

  • Just want to add my 10p's worth, Weebly.com IMO is a good source for free websites without any monthly costs involved. I only suggest this as this is where I built my site and it's worked perfectly!

    Here's my 25p's worth

Get a free website and expect to get exactly what you pay for.

Even non-tech savvy people are looking for sites which look professional show signs of security like SSL certificates and even have multiple payment methods e.g. PayPal Card and Google Wallet/Checkout alhtough not absolutely necessary as I have 2 sites and one of which only acceptd PayPal and still gets business.

If you can afford to invest between £3-500 you will get results. But you need to remember you don't just build a site and expect it to get visitors. You need to be proactively marketing the sites using several channels

steve1980 you still havnt explained why you have no portfolio up? I know my spelling is terrible I get ppl to check papers I write for a reason.

You have made no response to your sites security, I even posted a tool that you can use to find other weakness's you might have apart from the obvious ones!

You also havnt explained how you come to £100 for a professional service?

Icharm you can get results for 3-500 just need to make sure you choose the right developer and depending on features you require prepare to be flexable a good ssl certificate can be that price on its own

It's all relative with SSL a £60 SSL is good enough for a site that gets a few hundred visits a day and converts about 10% of them.

But as awareness and traffic increases you're correct and would be looking to spend a couple of hundred on an SSL.

Me and a few business associates outsource to india for design and coding and get phenominal value and support for what we pay.
