I have sombody writing all the blurb for my site so it really sells the products. whats on there atm is just some rubbish i wrote to look at the style. My spelling is terrible. That is why I put it is not ranking yet and im not linking customers to it. Even when I am sent the blurb and change everything I will have it proof read aswell. I dont bother with spelling forums and stuff but in letters and offical emails I cant stand it. Often if it is an email. I will reply to the address saying I think you have been infected as I had an email from your account that I beleive to be spam as it was so badly spelt0

So you put it on MSE which has fantastic listing potential on Google complete with link (which is against MSE rules)Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
I wont go over the options again as every1 has put there 2 cents in. I think the OP really needs to look at what they want to get from the site. Are they hoping to sell a few items a week or is this a business there hoping os going to turn over alot of money. If there hoping to have a site turning over a million pounds spending 30k on it is reasonable. If they are hoping to take 400quid a month spending anywhere from 10quid a month and building it himself to spending 1k on it is reasonable. The internet is the only place where sombody can invest £10 a month and have themself's a business.
Compare this to the simplest of real world business's it shows you how good value for money an internet business is even if you are spending a few grand on a site.
Alot of people have the wrong attitude about internet business thinking they can invest nothing and have a good platform in reality it just doesnt happen.0 -
I looked at the rules 1st it said it is against the rules to advertise. I was giving an expample not trying to sell. So i dont think I broke the rules however I can see how it could be interperated that I have and id fully understand if a mod removed it. Plus im getting there blurb 2nite so should have it up by the early morning so unlike the page would of been spidered by then0

Tom - one very quick point for you - being colour blind I cannot read the text in the area under 'Our Blog'. Lots of people have colour blind issues so pehaps a different colour would help?0 -

I must say I am impressed with mse seo to get number one for that search so quickly. Pretty big forum tho. I do think its bad that google ranks forums so high I think peer reviewed content should come top if its relevent/popular. Forums tend to be more about opinions.
However I think we both agree on the point going back to the ops question that with a website you really do get out of it what you put in either finacially or in time
I better get on sorting that content out as I dont want to put off any potential customers by lack of proffessionalism0 -

Yet you claim to be on top of what google does seo wise, and you dont even know the basics, like sites with lots of rapidly changing content get spidered really, really fast???[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
I know it can be annoying when people come asking questions that they could easily find the answer to if they bothered to search, particularly when it's a Newie asking, but i think some posters have been a bit unfair to the Op. I'm sure he knows how to google and find a whole array of sites offering websites, so all he came here for was to ask others who may have built their own websites which they found good or bad.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
