Out of curiosity, has anyone else received the following e-mail?A couple of months ago you expressed an interest in taking part in a postal survey to measure the quality of service of Royal Mail. We had a huge response and have reached the quota of volunteers that we need so sorry that you have not yet been contacted about participating in the survey.
We also run similar international postal survey that measures the transit times of test letters between different countries around the world. The tasks required are the same, simply sending and receiving pre-prepared test letters to other panellists around the world and logging onto our website to log when you have sent and received anything. The survey is ongoing and panellists receive a monthly incentive as thanks for their participation.
According to the Data Protection laws we comply to, we may only contact you regarding surveys that you have expressed an interest in. Therefore we are writing to ask for permission for your contact details to be passed to our colleagues so that they can contact you about the possibility of joining our international community of panellists. We would like to reassure you that your personal information will be treated confidentially and will only be used for the purposes of the survey.
Please reply to this email if you are happy to be contacted about participating in our international survey.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. We are looking forward to working with you soon!

Sounds a bit fishy to me. When I was invited I was sent a survey to fill in. It might br worth calling to check this or just emailing them to make sure. If you need any contact details for them just ask.0 -

I just said that because I have never heard of the international panel.
This was mine.
Hello,
There is an opportunity for you to represent your area on the Royal Mail Survey.
This project measures Royal Mail's service and helps them to identify specific parts of their network that require improvement. About 6,000 panellists participating from business and residential addresses post items to each other. TNS Research International calculates how long it takes for Royal Mail to deliver those items.

just got my 1st letters to post and just wanted to check ive got 1 that says post in postbox and 1 that says post at post office, does it mean post in the box outside post office or actually go to the counter? im sure this has been answered but ive got a 2 week old baby who thinks constantly feeding is more important than me reading through here. tia x0 -

If it says post at the post office, make sure you put the letter in the box outside, rather than going to the counter.0 -
I've got two letters to post on Wednesday this wk, both between 10am - 1pm, one has to go to a PO and one a PB. Seems a bit silly really to have to get the car out to go to the PO and then walk round the corner to the PB. Just wondering if other people have had the same and what they would normally do in this case. I'm tempted to go and just put them in the PB.0

well why bother doing it if you aren't going to bother meeting the requirements?
They most likely want the items posted that way to check on the collections being done at both points
its possible the postbox and collection is done by a different duty/timescale.
so posting at one could cause a failure/issue at the other0 -

I didn't say I wasn't going to do it. I've done this RM thing a few years ago but then it was only sending letters in the PB, I didn't realise this time round that we also have to go to the PO. So far I've completely followed the instructions. But on this occasion I think it's crazy to send me to two different places. What I might do is put both letters in at the PB and enter online that I have put them in the PB. I'm not lying about anything I've done and if they are not happy they can take me off the panel. I just don't think the amount of stamps you get justifies using your car when petrol is at an all time premium.0
