Royal Mail Surveys rewarded with Stamps.

Hi, I have been doing this for a while and am starting to wonder if any real people work at Kantar or if it's just a big computer. I received my posting pack this week after telling them months ago I would be on holiday and as it was a very large pack had been left with my neighbour (who coincidentally is ex royal mail). Inside my posting pack I have 4 items to post - 3 at a post office (which is annoying as it is a 10 mile round trip each time ) and 1 at a post box. The 1 item to go into a post box is one of those small boxes that has a piece of foam to put inside, it is never going to fit into a post box in a million years so will be another trip to the post office . Do they ever actually look at what they are asking us to do or is it just randomly generated?

Hi, does anyone know how many smarts we can return in one envelope? Thanks xBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0

I have been doing the survey for several years, and am sure that this is an error.
I would not pay, but phone Kantar when they open Monday morning, for advice on what they want you to do.
Again I would tell the helpline about this.
'Special' packs of stamps are not part of our monthly reward stamps, but are sent out randomly to some participants.
If you got the train ones then you are lucky - I haven't had any of these for ages.
I've lost track of when we're next due our monthly stamps - does any else know ?

Thanks for your help. I will give them a call on Monday as some of the things seem a bit strange and not right!2019 Prize Total - £0/0 Prizes 2018 Prize Total - £100/1 Prize 2017 Prize Total - £250/2 Prizes

Hi Judex
The last ones came with posting schedule for w/c 30 April so I would expect the next ones to come with schedule for w/c 28 May or possibly a week later as they seem to be behind with everything at the moment.0 -

Have you checked your holiday was still showing on their website if you entered it some time ago? I have had problems in the past with them sending post when I was away.
If you are only away a week, just keep them and post on the same day when you come back.
I have been told in the past that the most important thing is to post on the allocated day of the week. Very occasionally I put the letter in a PB rather than the PO if it means a special trip.
You will always have to post some items in a PO so really you have to decide is it worth your while if you are having to make special trips of 10 miles.0 -
Have been doing the survey for a few months and have gradually been getting more post to send out and more for me to register as received.
Yesterday, I came home to a couple of correctly addressed pieces with SMARTs in them and a card frome the Post Office to say there was an item of post in an A5 Brown envelope that did not have the right postage on and I had to pay £1.50.
I drove to the Post Office and asked to look at the post before I paid up. As soon as I helt it I could feel the SMART inside (but obviously couldn't say anything to the staff!), so I asked if they could keep it a bit longer until next week as I didn't want to pay for "junk mail" which they agreed to. You should pay in order to retrieve the envelope. You could even use some of the "reward" stamps as part or full payment if you have any spare. (Kantar could then refund the £1.50 to you in cash.) If you do not, Royal Mail should open the envelope to see if they can return it to the sender. If they do that, you are revealed as a survey participant - and should be removed from the panel.
There was no stamp on envelope at all - so not sure if it had come off or whether it had not been added. As it is Kantar who affix the stamps, they should still be there.
I came home and tried to contact the survey people, but they were shut.
My question is as anyone had to send out an item with no postage on it as part of the survey? If so as members of the survey, do we have to pay out our own money to collect these items? See suggestion above.
Today, my postman knocked with a box (got a bit excited as I thought it might have been a prize), only to find a SMART inside!
Luckily, I was in, otherwise it would have been another trip to the Post Office. It also was meant to have £2.20 postage on it, but it only had 20p on it and was not post marked. So surely this should not have been delivered? Is there a postie removing unfranked stamps? Might explain the A5 envelope which you were invited to collect.
Since starting the survey, I have received stamps, but nothing for the last month. I see people have mentioned Jubilee and Olympic stamps, but I have only received ones with trains on! You are lucky - some of us (myself included) have received no special stamps in recent months.
Any help with theses queries before I contact them on Monday would be appreciated.
Thank you.0 -

Inside my posting pack I have 4 items to post - 3 at a post office (which is annoying as it is a 10 mile round trip each time ) - if the post office is five miles away and you are not going nearby for any other reason then just post in another post box in your allocated area - and 1 at a post box. The 1 item to go into a post box is one of those small boxes that has a piece of foam to put inside, it is never going to fit into a post box in a million years so will be another trip to the post office . These do need to go to a post office but you can post on another day if that is more convenient for you. It's only supposed to happen every six months or so. Do they ever actually look at what they are asking us to do or is it just randomly generated? I think the computer allocates times and locations - and hasn't been programmed to avoid saying to post after 1 pm on a Saturday!

Have you checked your holiday was still showing on their website if you entered it some time ago? I have had problems in the past with them sending post when I was away.
I double checked before I went that it was still on the system, I didn't get a posting pack for 2 weeks before I went which is why I checked that the dates were right
If you are only away a week, just keep them and post on the same day when you come back.
I was away this past week and the posting pack arrived whilst I was away but it was obviously never going to fit in my post box
I have been told in the past that the most important thing is to post on the allocated day of the week. Very occasionally I put the letter in a PB rather than the PO if it means a special trip.
I have been doing this when I have no other reason to go out as I am sure the postie empties our box then goes to the post office to pick theirs up (we are very rural) but when it's 4 letters I feel I should post at least half in the post office box
You will always have to post some items in a PO so really you have to decide is it worth your while if you are having to make special trips of 10 miles.
I have been wondering if it is worth my while as the quantity of items to post seems to be going up but I find it all quite interesting (sad, I know!)
