I save all stamps, franked or not, and my wife passes them on to some charity or other.

which are then sold on to be used again

Is your problem that you can't get to the Post Office before 10am?

It's difficult most days but Thursday is impossible as I take my elderly neighbour shopping and she has to wait for her husband's carers before she can leave :)

Hello, hope you are all having a nice weekend?!

I have my first batch of smarts to post tomorrow, and 1 says to be sent at the post office. The post box that I normally use is the one outside of the post office so am I right in thinking that it can just be send in my normal post box, and I don't have to actually go inside the post office?

Also a couple of the business letters aren't sticking down after licking them so should I use sellotape to secure them, is that ok?

    Many thanks :)

Yesterday I received my final posting pack and inside it was a presentation pack, a book of twelve first class stamps and a book of four first class large letter stamps. :j I never received presentation stamps from them before.

I got notified I was no longer required about four weeks before I am due to post my last letter, in case anyone was wondering like I had been.

I think I need to work out what I am going to do with all these stamps!! :money:

I use sellotape to secure them and so do the people who send the mail to me. HTH!

I use the spare sticky labels as they are close at hand.

Yes. You wont be able to enter the Post Office itself on the TNS website tho, the PO will be associated with the Post Box outside it. Just use the details from the Postbox when doing data entry :)

The only time you need to actually go inside a PO to post a test item is when it is a package/parcel which won't fit through the post box slot.

When they say "where to post" is a "Post Office" they mean the post box outside the PO. When it says simply "Post Box", I have always taken this to mean a post box other than outside a PO. However, I really don't think they care - the location doesn't appear online but only on the printed schedule.

Regarding the envelopes not sticking - I assume these are printed BRS envelopes as regular envelopes are all self-seal. Adding sticky tape is fine - enough to secure without making it difficult to open. (I have one set of friends who behave as though, unless they completely seal every corner of the envelope too, RM treatment will create damage to the contents.)
