Shouldn't is the definitive word. I actually got a test item including the SMART but unstamped (and in a packet type that I've never seen before). I had to pay £2.10 to get it delivered mainly because I'd a few things outstanding from EBay and assumed it was one of those. Grrr :(

If that happens, call up TNS and give them the test item details. They'll reimburse what you had to pay (in stamps).

I got a letter with less postage of £3. Instead of delivery I got a message letter asking for money and to collect. Can I see the letter before I pay? Can I pay with stamps? If letter is from TNS will they pay me?

    Hi

The answer is above you in moi's post. Not sure if you can see the letter before you pay.

The card you got told you that you can pay in postage
The staff should allow you to see any underpaid item, before paying
    £3 is a large underpayment
    more likely an underpaid packet

I agree - I think it is a packet and the stamp has fallen off.

Sometimes the stamps on packets I have to send out are peeling at the edges - I often think about sticking some sellotape over it but then worried it looks like I am reusing stamps?

What about glue pen instead of tape if stamps are off at the edges, less obvious
  • I've received a clothing catalogue from a well known company and the accompanying sheet with the R number says
'This is a test item from xxxxxxxx ................ both the envelope and contents should be returned to us by next Friday with any other test items.'

I've not only notified TNS that I'm on holiday for the next two weeks but there is nothing to return it in or postage for it.

    Yes you can.
(Once, at the sorting office, I even received a few pence change - but I wouldn't say that was guaranteed and TNS would need only to repay the correct amount requested by RM.)
