Am currently involved in the RM unaddressed mail surveys, and wondered if someone could please clarify.

    From RM instructions -

"During your time on the Unaddressed Mail survey you will be measuring receipt of actual (live) mail items delivered by both Royal Mail and other companies. This will be done by matching Royal Mail items against images on the website plus recording the number of excess items".

The instructions sound perfectly clear and am presuming this means that leaflets and brochures included with Sunday papers must be included and added to the data on the website.

Don't want to get it wrong, thank you

Sorry but newspapers you pay to have delivered are not (IMO) unaddressed mail items

Thanks custardy, I wondered about this. But it's OK to include pamphlets and extra material which is included in free newspapers?

    Am I correct?

free papers would be included as thats a market RM can compete in
In Edinburgh RM deliver the free council paper in most sectors
all the 'junk' you get through the door is what RM want to know about

    Thanks custardy for clarification.

It's quite confusing when free newspaper leaflets are included yet paid for newspaper leaflets aren't.

    Thanks again.

    Hey guys :)

I finally got joined up to the panel. I had a few issues - I got the email asking if I was still interested a month ago and said yes but never heard anything back so I sent an e-mail. I got an email back saying that I will receive my first mailing on the week of 24th June. Should I have received any login details for TNS via email before that? Or does it come with the first mailing?

    Thanks for any replies :)

How do I add a smart to my stock?
They've send me an extra one as I need to use an unallocated one to make up the numbers this week, but it's not showing up in my stock list so I can't see how to add the details of the one I've put in the envelope.
    Thanks

You can't add it yourself. So if you are due to post it on Monday or Tuesday, I'd phone tomorrow to ask them to add it to your stock list or you would need to delay posting for a week.

If it is not till Wednesday or later, I'd wait till Tuesday to phone as they may sort it out unprompted.
