I've just received a white envelope with a Smart that had no stamp on it. It has got the yellow sticker with postage unpaid/deficient postage and a total to pay of 150p. The postie has just put it through letter box without knocking so I haven't had to pay. Is this something TNS do or is it a mistake?.

    It is definitely a mistake.

Phone or email TNS and they should be able to track who sent it from the SMART. Was there an 'R' number as well, or literally just the SMART

It hasn't happened to me, but I know others have said, that if you do have to pay for an item in these sort of circumstances, keep the proof and TNS send you an extra book of stamps to cover the costs.

It was as I'd normally get with an R number and Smart. Just the stamp missing. When filling in the items received on the page where it says was postage correct I've just marked it no.

It sounds like the stamp just came off in transit then. Can't do any harm just to drop them an email though, and let them know.
  • Please can someone help me? I have received a package from Royal Mail containing 2 smarts, a padded envelope with paper, some cardboard and a piece of paper to stick a sticker on. And also a flattened box and a piece of foam like stuff. There is a posting plan too - Do I add these things onto my received items online? If so, how? And does it matter which smart I put in which package?

Korinarose- it sounds like you need to do your training! This will explain exactly what you need to do. It's really very straight forward. You need to refer to your posting plan, it will tell you which SMART to put with which item. You need to follow the instructions, on where to put which sticky label. The paper/ foam is to pad the envelope/ box. The cardboard sleeves are to put your SMARTs inside.

Like I said- do your training and you will become much the wiser :)

For the record, it was presumably delivered by Royal Mail but it wasn't from Royal Mail. Royal Mail are supposed to be kept in the dark about these items.

Apologies if I have misunderstood your meaning.

My number came up about 3 weeks ago but havent heard anything..cant recheck as there is nowhere to look.

I received envelope with no metered price on and son went down post office to pay and collect. Emailed them to say so didnt realise that if I'd kept receipt could have claimed it back.

I emailed as still havent received incentive stamps for May..they said they would put some in post.
  • I havent got my incentive stamps for May either, I will keep a eye on the post for next lot of postings to do, I just received some last week. If they're not in the next envelope I'll mail them.
