The fact that others have been told not to include things they know were delivered other than by RM could be that they were misinformed by people in West Brom not understanding what they are meant to be measuring on this.

Don't think that anyone, especially TNS, has the foggiest idea what they're trying to measure with this - except, maybe our patience :rotfl:

That would only have to happen to me once for me to give this game up altogether - it just isn't worthwhile if that's going to happen. Fortunately we have an arrangement with our superb postman, and nothing ever goes back to the sorting office.

On another tack, one of the usual large envelopes arrived today from TNS - with a certain very well known address marked all over the back, even more prominently than usual. I find it very difficult to believe that it's much of a secret from the average postman who's doing this survey work. :p

You can get items redelivered- either to your home or to a post office. Just follow the instructions on the "We've got something for you" card.

When I had one of these to post I took a tip from here and used some spare white sticky labels from the posting packs to secure the edges of the box.

IMHO and Royal Mail's- sealing an item with sticky labels is a BAD idea! Do you have any idea what mail goes through on its way to its destination?! A sticky label is not designed to seal an item like a parcel, it is meant to be used as an address label.

I would follow Royal Mail's own advice and surely the most common sense advice- use sticky tape!!! Who doesn't have a roll of sticky tape? Personally, I use brown parcel tape- as I would for any parcel I send.

Tape is available extremely cheaply from markets and places like Wilko.

Quite new to the Royal Mail survey, got a small parcel to post at the end of the week. I know we're supposed to post them in the post box, but would I have to hand it over at the counter or what? And if I do how would I enter it into the post box number? Thanks

if you have the box type parcel then it is actually too big to fit in a post bao so you will need to take it to the post office and hand it in at the counter...when you log the details use the post box number that corresponds closest with the post office...ie the box number of the box outside....

    Hi

I've got a box to post as well at the Post Office. Just hand it over at the counter.

Are details the Post Office you're going to use entered in Manage My PostBoxes? If not take a note of the Post box number outside the Post Office and go to Manage My Postboxes then Register a New Postbox.:)

Got an envelope today with the date it needed to be sent and the 10-1 written in pen right next to the stamp.

We all need reminders of when to send, but to me this looks a bit suspicious. I have post-it notes on them, so that they can be taken off before I post.
