Can someone help me out - I keep missing the helpline times.
I'm new to this and just been doing the months trial.
I've had the packet this morning with 2 envelopes and 2 smarts, with the dates they need to go but no specific posting times or places. The posting plan just says add smart.
Does it matter which smart goes in which envelope, and can I post them from anywhere in my postcode at any time as long as it's before last posting? The first one is to go on Monday so I won't get chance to phone them before then.
    Thanks

Edit -I'm an idiot - just checked the website and it tells me which smart to send where. Just the times and post box or office that I'm not sure about then. Does it matter?

I would send them an email to ask so its ready for Monday morning, if the 1st posting Mon if you can ring them on Mon, if not just do the posting from one of your boxes, as long as you do it before the time,

  • It usually specifies post box or post office, before 10am between 10am-1pm after 1pm or before final collection.

If it doesn't specify these either on the paper schedule sent to you or on the online system (remember to check by ticking advanced column) then just post at the most convenient time and place for you as long as it is before the final posting time for that day and within your postal code and you have got the box registered to post in.

Every printed posting schedule that I've received has specified where the items should be posted (postbox or post office) but, annoyingly, this information is omitted from the website (even when you choose the 'advanced' option).

The posting times have always been included in both the printed schedule and the website.

  • Letter also said that they'd be in contact again in 4 - 5 months about going back on the panel and that I could still do the mis delivery surveys. I've already signed up to do one next month so happy about that!

What is a misdeliver survey please? I haven't come across them yet?

I would look for the post box outside (or in) the post office and make a note of the reference number on the plate so that you can add it to your list of posting places. Use those details for where you have posted the parcel even though your parcels will have been handed over the counter.

Have you reported the damage to Royal Mail (http://www.royalmail.com/report-a-problem)? It does no harm even if they already know about it (as they should).

Don't hold your breath, though: I know of a postbox whose door fell off about 4 months ago and which is still out of action.

I signed up to this about 4 weeks ago, but not heard anything. Is this usual? Should I contact them?

It all depends if they require people in your postcode area. I have read on here people not getting contacted for 18 months. hth :)
