Sorry off subject for RM - but as discussion is on here - suggest anyone wanting more info for request for used stamps looks at the website for PreemiesUK which explains request.
By the way I have nothing to do with the poster but certainly will support them.0 -
We save/donate our used stamps to a registered charity, so on the whole I think it is a good idea. However, I also understand and support what Custardy has said.
You only need to do a quick search on eBay to see what happens to a huge amount of these stamps. Do the people that are attacking Custardy really believe eBay items like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121031923090 are being bought by and for "collectors"?
Strange that none of the sellers appear to selling on behalf of registered charities either. Mind you, it is all good because most of them say somewhere in the listing that they are "not for reuse" though it makes you wonder why they also list "face values" a lot of the time.
I have no axe to grind with shezmit, I have no opinion of the legitimacy of her requests, though I will not be donating my stamps to her, and as a polite suggestion, perhaps in future she could include the charity number of her organisation so that people check instantly that they are really donating to a worthy cause.
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
Looks as though they have invited different people then this time. Shame, even though there were problems I found it an easy earner.
I think you were right about the problems. Day 1 and I don't have the button on my screen yet. I'll just keep a pile of bits that come and write the date on them.0 -
Had an email today & it looks like they've finally invited me back nearly a year after they dumped me!0

Or would you like to suggest that RNIB is fradulently reusing postage stamps as well?????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So you believe there is a mass market for standard used postage stamps?
this is where they end up

I emailed them on Thursday about not receiving my first sender pack, it should have been with me week commencing 31/12/12. I haven't had any reply yet.
How long does it normally take to get reply or would i be better phoning them?
Thanks in advance0 -

Once again, those are Unfranked stamps that have missed the system, not used Franked stamps which is what the charities require and what shezmit was requesting and what other charities ask for!
There are undoubtably unscrupulous people who make a profit selling on unfranked stamps but to accuse somebody who is asking for used stamps for a charity is in my opinion unwaranted x:)"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

They buy in bulk and sort what they get
henceyou mean so they can be checked for unfranked ones and used/sold on?
the charity sells them on in bulk
charity or not, that is what creates the value in standard 2nd hand stamps
some are sold on as kiloware but the real 'value' is in those linked on ebay etc0 -
Can we go back to discussing RM on here & draw a line under this issue.0
