It also helps all this meals are paid for as well as travel and accomodation. Hes getting £600 worth of train tickets and a VERY expensive suite every night!
I wish i could get a job working for them!!!!
Thats fantastic! Will make life a lot easier allround. nice one.0 -
ancaster and somerset princess:
Like you my partner and I are planning to start trying for a baby in December onwards. I've been scouring these pages and others for money saving tips, as I'm the main bread winner but *think* I want to work max 3 days a week when we have a baby.
There are some excellent tips here, also on Motley Fool website and baby sites such as babyworld and motherbliss.
Keep writing - I'm soaking it all up!

Ooo good website links Pauline thanks for those - off for a mooch now! Seems quite a few of us are heading down the baby route soon, although when Lillibet fills us all in on how painful and hard it all is we might just change our collective minds he he!Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0

I'm too wanting to extend my brood but i'm terribly picky about when i want it to be born. I want a sept-mar/apr baby. Don't want a summer baby or a baby born in august because of the school year (i don't know why, just me i guess). Managed to get a january and a september baby so far but was risky 'cos if the september baby had arrived early she'd have been an august baby. Once it got to 1st september i felt a sigh of relief (so silly i know!). Have decided that if i am not pregnant this month (making it an april baby) then i'll be waiting until dec/jan to aim for a sept. baby again.
Spent a fortune on baby no.1. Bought so much stuff i thought i needed and then found out that i really didn't need it. Baby no.2 was definitely done on the cheap, in fact she has still not cost me anything in terms of nappies/toys/clothes and she's 2 in september!0 -
I dont want to be pregnant during the summer if possible and i want to try to avoid my birthday and OH's birthday and Christmas if possible so narrowing that down will be a very precise schedule0

I guess i got lucky..this baby, unplanned, will be born early november so a good age for the school year...rubbish being pregnant in this heat though and it's only going to get worse!
for some reason my dp thinks it would be hilarious to call our baby 'mohammed' or 'jean-claude' or some other name that is entirely innappropraite to our ethnicity..
guess it would be original..but nooooo!Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Mohammed Smith, Jean Claude Jones, Chiatali Scott.
Would have a very original ring to it.
no offence intended with any of them names.0 -
can't remember if i've already said this..pregnancy brain..he he..but it is a great idea to go to retail outlets a few months into your pregnancy.they are currently stocking all the stuff from last season so i have managed to get loads of next and baby gap winter clothes for as little as 50p, and plenty of warmer maternity clothes for the last couple of months.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0

Could somebody enlighten me about this school year thing? Ours is due 25th August.0 -
just that children born in late august will be in the same school year as kids a year older than them who are born in spetember..
don't think it makes a big difference reallyMembre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0
